*Heyo, just wanted you to know this chapter is NOT edited, I was kinda in a rush because I wanted to give you guys a chapter before I go out of town and have sketchy wifi for the rest of this week. Which means I'm going to visit family and some of them have wifi and some don't. So I'll still be able to see comments and such from time to time so like and comment it up so I can know what you think!
Here you go, and I hope your summer is going great if you're on break, but if not, hopefully this will cheer you up.*
Chapter 22................Triple Control
"Focus Robyn, you can do it!" Yelled my mom in encouragement.
I panted hard as I tried to maintain focus on my remaining targets. Sweat was dripping from every pore on my body, making me feel like one of those athletes from the Nike commercials.
"Only two more left, you can do it! Keep pushing yourself!" My dad hollered to me as I ducked and dodged to avoid being struck by one of my targets. By now my breathing was seriously becoming labored, but I was just as determined as my parents were, and I'm not planning on letting them down.
The three of us had been outside since six a.m. as planned, and it is now somewhere around eleven a.m. They started me off by doing warm ups like running laps, stretching, push ups, jumping jacks, sit ups, and etc. then they taught me to harness my powers more easily and to control how much power I exert, which took up about two hours. Since then, for the past hour I've been put through numerous obstacle courses which have required me to go on the offensive and try to hit my parents with my energy blasts, fireballs, ice shards, and etc. but don't worry, they aren't seriously hurt and we all have heightened healing abilities so while I landed a good amount of hits I didn't have to worry about them being fatally harmed. Plus it's not like they just stood there and waited for me to strike them, they were on defense and tried their best to dodge my attacks, and they succeeded a lot at first, but as I became more comfortable with the idea of using my powers against my parents I got in more and more hits.
However, they are the ones on offense now and I'm defending myself. Fire and ice are relentlessly being thrown at me, at first I got hit so many times that I had to change clothes because mine were burnt to a crisp. Thankfully I've gotten much better since then, but I still have a couple of holes burned in the bottom of my shirt now, my skin occasionally gets nicked, and blood pours from the scratches and piercings of the ice shards being thrown at me.
"Alright Ray, last set. Make it exceptional!" My dad yelled as he and my mom prepared to push me the hardest that they have all day. I narrowed my eyes in concentration while pushing thoughts of my shower and comfy bed from my mind.
Almost immediately the attacks flew at me and in response I raised my hands preparing to execute my plans of defense that I quickly put together by utilizing the new strategic part of my mind from the goddess of war.
At first there were the same attacks of fireballs and ice shards and I began to question my parents' tactics. But you know how these things go, of course I happened to speak too soon.
My mom and dad grabbed each other's hand and raised their other hands as a swirling vortex of fire began to rise up until it reached about three stories tall, I swear it even formed a face and smirked at me. Since I was so caught up in mean mugging the giant whirlwind of fire I didn't pay attention to the ginormous evil ass snowman that started throwing balls of ice at me, not snowballs, ice balls.
"Oww, what the fudge dad?!" I complained briefly but he only raised his eyebrow as if saying, 'what? I thought it was cool'. I rolled my eyes and concentrated again. Hmm, I wonder if I can do that trick...
