Hope's POV

One day she was here. And the next she wasn't.
She is gone. And I don't know how to find her.
Mira has left and I don't know when or if she is coming back.
Jeremy and I have searched the whole house. We only have one place to look.
The font hall

I sniff, and gesture Jeremy down the hall. I look through the letter box outside and Jeremy searches through the fruit bowl on the table near to the front door. I only find stale food in the letter box. I don't know how it got there and I don't know how long I spent thinking about it because the next thing I heard was "I found something, Hope, come see." The familiar voice was Jeremy's. He had helped so much. He had been there when I was in my darkest days, he has found a clue from Mira.

Jeremy hands be the yellow, slightly wrinkled envelope.I turn in in my hands, not wanting to open it. Not wanting to hear bad news. Not now, and not bad things about Mira.
After a while, Jeremy snatches it out of my hands, opens it and hand it to me. The letter reads:

Hope,

I am sorry for the misery I must have caused you by leaving Poppyfield.
It was for the right reasons, and it is a good plan.
Please, don't show this to the Government or any other being as long as you can trust them.
Sebastian and I have decided to cross the bridges.
We left on Tuesday and I think it is Friday now. Well it might be Wednesday or even Thursday expecting on the amount of time it takes you to find this letter. I have left little clues so you will know where I have gone when you come and find me.
Oh yeah. You're gonna come and find me.
I left two backpacks at the bridges where Seb and I crossed. They are it a ditch next to a wall, and are dirt coloured anyway. Please come and we, as a three can live outside where nothing is ruled. We will be free together.
I hope to see you soon, Hope.

Hugs
Mira xx

The letter brings me joy. Joy and happiness to know that Mira is still alive and with Sebastian. It warms my heart that Sebastian is with her. He is my brother and I couldn't stand to let him

"Um, Hope. I know this is all good and all but do you know what is outside of the bridges?Remember? That's why the bridges are there in the first place. They don't teach that in school until year 10 or something. We have to save them." Jeremy says, after reading the letter.

"I don't understand." I say, confused.

"You know. The bridges are there for a reason, they-"

"I don't care, but there is nothing dangerous about........" And it suddenly comes back to me.

Tears start to from in my eyes.

"They will be okay, they will-"

"I DON'T CARE. I DON'T CARE!"

"Shhhhh. We have to go find them. We just have to, okay, Hope?"

"Yeah," I snuffle, "We have to g-go save th-them. They w-will be okay w-won't they?"

Jeremy nods and then I realise.

"Jeremy, if we leave the house empty then they will suspect something."

"Yeah, we need someone to stay here. Who needs a house?"

"One of Mira's friends is looking for a place to stay with her guardian. I'll call her."

"How did you find that out?" Jeremy asks.

"Mira and I talk a lot. Just about life and stuff. Nothing interesting." I reply and I start calling.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Hurry up, Hope. We need to go fast!"
Jeremy guides me through the forest, my bag clicking away. We had to pack big time. The house is now full and no one will suspect a thing.
