We were all currently in front of the monitors in the main room. Jace and Clarissa were talking. Alec was making sure nothing popped up in the radar and Izzy, well honestly I didn't know where she was.

Me on the other hand, was trying to get this tea cup Clary draw, out of the page. I was failing miserably. Maybe I don't have the power, perhaps it was something that only Clary inherited from Jocelyn.

I watched as Clary placed the Cup back in the tarot card as I was still struggling to take the tea cup out. Clary's words ringing through my shallow thoughts.

"Focus. Put all your concentration into holding that cup. Visualise it already in your hands, feel it as it touches against your skin. Imagine the cup already in your possession".

There's no point in doing this. It's clear that this power was not inherited to me. I'm almost physically shattering my brain trying to pull this cup out of the page and all I'm doing is smashing my fingers against the table.

This task is frustrating and it should probably be left behind, it's not working so might as well just leave it alone "No Downworlder can come into the Institute" Jace told Alec. As much as Jace tried we all know Alec was not having it.

     Alec of all the people is the most paranoiac "Not without an invite by a Shadowhunter" Izzy added more facts to back Jace's point up "Last I check, Valentine is a Shadowhunter" Alec turned around.

     We all gathered around the table in front of the monitors, discussing the situation "The Cup's not safe here, we have to give it back to the Clave" Alec stated "Give it back to the Clave? No" Clarissa declined.

     "Not after everything we went through to get it" She said "Seriously? Do you think because you got it it's yours? Things don't work like this Clary. The Cup-" Isabelle interrupted me "Katherine" She said before turning to Clary.

     "My brother is right. The Cup is extremely important" Izzy looked at her brother, Alec's expression showed nothing other than surprise "Are you agreeing with me?" He asked.

     Isabelle just carelessly shrugged "I'm full of surprises"Her face remained serious "This Cup is the one chance I have of getting my mum back" Clary held the tarot card in sight.

     Again with that... "Fairchild that Cup could destroy the Shadow World. We can't keep it just because it may help one person while it can end thousands" I explained slightly irritated.

     "I agree with Clary" Jace said "Of course you do" I muttered under my breath and I guess he heard me due to the way he looked at me "We can't give the Cup to the Clave. Not now" Jace said.

     "We need it. It's our only bargaining chip" Jace explained "Look I know how powerful this Cup is. It has the power of creating new Shadowhunters, control demons and even kill a mundane if they drink from it".

     Congratulations Clary! You know the basics of the Cup! "But I promise you, I will not let that monster get his hands on it" She gave us her word "There you go. You have her word" Jace said. Oh Jeez how honoured.

     Alec remained staring at Jace before rolling his eyes "Follow me" He demanded Clary while they left to go to the training room. Izzy, Jace and I stayed checking up on the monitors.
