Chapter 1

JACKIE

Jackie woke up in a dimly lit room, with a piece of cloth tied around her wrists.

"Oh, good, you're awake." Marco said, stepping out of the shadows,"Let's go outside and join the fun."
Marco faced Jackie to walk on both feet, outside the room. Jackie was puzzled with the view she saw: two demons were conversing deeply with each other, and a weak body, sitting up weakly. There was a blonde dude sniffling a bit, as if he just finished crying. Then, she spotted a blonde girl--Star-- who was patting the shoulder of the girl who was sitting up weakly.

The girl had a very strange resemblance to Marco. She had the same alert look in her eyes, and.. Oh, who was she kidding? She wasn't gonna stare at the girl all day! She was trapped in another place, another world! She should be focused on getting out.

Star lifted her head and noticed Jackie."Jackie!" Then, she noticed Marco, and her expression darkened."Marco."
Marco smiled murderously."Wazzup, princess?"
Star turned to her friends, including the demons."Do you really think I should ki--you know, Marco?"
Tom nodded."It might be the only way."
Star's cheeks reddened."Th-the only way?"
Marco thought Star had meant "kill," instead of "kiss." Marco gripped his sword.
"Kill me?" He whispered angrily,"I don't think so."
Marco charged at Star and flipped her over with inhuman strength. Star, on the ground, jabbed Marco's throat, making him choke.

"Star, no!" Melissa screamed weakly,"We-you should stick to the plan!"
"I'm--trying!!" Star said, violently sparring with Marco.
"Uh.. Ok.. WATCH OUT!"
Marco took an arrow from his pack and shot it at the chandelier right above Star. Star rolled over to the left, and missed the chandelier by an inch.
"Marco, you've improved!" Star remarked, shivering slightly.
"Don't talk to me like I'm your friend," Marco snarled."You're not my friend, nor will I ever be."
Suddenly, Marco swiped his leg between Star's feet, making her trip. Marco held out his sword, ready to strike.

For some reason, Jackie had managed to untie her hands. She ran to Star's side, and tried to steal to Marco's sword.
"What are you DOING, Thomas??!!" Marco hollered.
"It's called stealing," Jackie said, then sprayed a bottle of perfume in Marco's eyes."It's an Earth thing."
"MY EYES!!" Marco wailed.
Jackie helped Star up."We have to go now. NOW." Jackie said."Marco will kill us."
"NO!" Star screamed,"I WON'T leave my best friend! I HAVE to see him!"
Maria stood up, fully recovered (finally) from Star and Comet's spells.
"Go," Maria said."I'll handle him."
"NO," Comet retorted,"I WON'T let you hurt again. Not after what happened to you."
"I beat him once, dude," Maria said, clutching her dagger,"I can beat him again."

Maria started jogging towards Marco, who was frantically rubbing his eyes. "What SORCERY this is??!"
"NO!" Star growled, tackling Maria to the floor.
"Star, what are you DOING??!" Maria snarled."Let me go! I'M the only one who can beat Marco!"
"You WON'T hurt him!"
"It HAS to be done!"
"There's another way!!"
"Exactly! To kill Marco!"
"NO! He's--he's your twin! Why-why would you want to kill him?"
Maria looked Star in the eye."Sometimes you have to risk the life of one to save more."
"I-I'm manning up now."

"What? Star, no--"
"I will do what's right."
Star stood from her "tackling" position, and marched towards Marco, who was now in his "attack" position. She stood in front of Marco, glaring at him."I can't believe I'm about to do this."
"Do what?" Marco said,"Are you ready to fight??"
Suddenly, Star used her arms and put it around Marco's neck, pulled him in and pressed her lips against his.
Tom's eyes widened."Star just kissed Marco."

Well, to all the Starco shippers out there, including me? We all noticed that Star kissed Marco, didn't we?
