Heroes die, and heroes fall, sometimes you don't even, know when they fall, autumn, summer, winter, spring, oh, the surprises, that life can bring... (A/N: I made this rhyming thing all up)

"We will give her a proper place in Mewni's Chamber of Heroes," the Queen Butterfly reassured Star."We promise."
"Good." Star said, then turned to Marco, Comet, Tom, and Tori (Jackie was sent home safe, sound, and SAD)."We will do her funeral the Mewni way."
"And.." Marco sniffled slightly,"What's th-the Mewni way?"
"We will pray for her," Star said darkly,"And her body will be..*sigh* preserved in an ice berg. Just like what I did to Tom.. before."
Tom gave Star a slight glare before looking at the queen again."Please take care of my stepsister."
The queen eyed Tom wonderingly."It's such a wonder why my daughter even fell for you.. No matter. Your heroism has paid off quite grandly,with.. with the most tragic consequences."

"And you," The queen said, turning to Marco,"Take care of my daughter well, mortal. And.. I am completely sorry for your loss."
"Thank you, your Majesty," Marco muttered, bowing.
The queen slowly walked away, first giving Comet a nod, and directing a battalion of royal guards who were carrying a well-preserved ice-berg with Maria in it. Mid-laugh, her eyes full of laughter. It twisted all of their hearts into painful knots.
"Sometimes I hate our traditions," Star sighed.
"Don't worry," Marco said,"It's much better than burying people under the ground."
Star's eyes widened, then reverted back to crying.

They all said their goodbyes. Comet went to live with his parents again, and Tori and Tom went back to Tom's realm. Marco put his arm around Star, making her wince a bit. Best friends, they were, but they didn't do this usually.

"So.." Marco started,"This war is over, huh?"
"Yeah," Star said, slipping her hands into Marco's before snipping open a portal."I guess it is."
