My mate is the moon Goddess' Daughter?

Chapter 9

The happy moment was gone. The scream had seen to that. I took a protective stance in front of Cynthia whilst mind linking my pack fighters.

"What the hell was that?"
"Alpha we just found liara. She is dead."
"Get the trackers to pick up the intruders scent and go after them"
"Alpha there's one more thing. It's about the soon to be Luna. I believe it's a threat."
I put my mental wall up and looked at my beautiful mate. Her eyes portrayed fear. I could feel her emotion. Her fear. Fear not for only her life but for her people. I gently lifted her chin and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

"I will be right back. Contact me if you sense any danger."She nodded her head and kissed me on my cheek.  I sniffed the air and caught the scent of one of my fighters. My mind wandered around. How could someone want to hurt my mate? She is so kind and caring? Who is it that wants to hurt her?

I saw my friend Cody(one of the fighters in my pack) looking at something on the wall. I quickened my pace and what stood before me scared me.

"Give up Luna Cynthia otherwise this will happen to more of your pack or worse Cynthia herself."
I growled defensively and my wolf started chanting in my head "need to protect mate. Need to kill threat"
" someone better pull something together and find this flipping person who is threatening us." They all replied yes alpha before rushing out of the room. 

I felt a tingling sensation in the back of my head and realised something had happened to Cynthia. I rushed up the stairs and barged through the door where Cynthia was lying on the floor a wolf standing over her. My wolf took complete control. I felt fur sprout on my back and my bones break and merge into place. I growled at the wolf standing over my Cynthia before lunging at the it. I pinned it on its back. Whilst doing this the wolf tried to scratch me with its claws. I laughed at the pathetic excuse of fighting before plunging my claws into his stomach and jumping off of him.
"Come to mine and Cynthia's room right now and take this wolf to a cell where i will interrogate him later."

"Yes alpha" my fighters replied in Union. Whimpering I walked over to My mate. Her eyes were closed and her face pale. I quickly contacted the pack doctor. The fighters barged into my room and injected some wolfsbane into the wolf. It immediately shifted into a human again.
" get that some clothes and get me some whilst your at it" I told Brandon another of my fighters. Brandon rushed out of the room and Cody and the rest of the fighters dragged the rogue wolf out of my room. Where was this doctor? Brandon rushed back and passed me some clothes. I shifted and put on the clothes he had given me. At this point Cynthia still hadn't woken up and I didn't know what to do.. I placed my hand over hers and placed my head on her belly whilst I let the tears flow down my cheeks. The doctor rushed in with two nurses from the pack hospital.

I got up and watched the doctor pull out his medical equipment. He signalled for the nurses to pick her up and put her on the bed. Before they had a chance to pick her up I gently placed my right hand under her head and my other hand under her knees so that j was carrying her bridal style. I gently placed her on the bed and moved back. The doctor placed a stethoscope on her chest before moving it down to her belly. I watched his every move. I didn't like that he was touching her. No male should be able to touch her but me. However I knew that I
Would have to let him if she was going to get better.

He asked the nurse to lift Cynthia's head up. I watched. On the back of her head was a egg shaped lump. My heart thumped and my wolf chanted"help mate. She needs us."

"I don't know how to help her"
She looked so fragile lying there in the bed.
"Shane sometimes I wonder how you can be so stupid. You can help her by holding her hand. Your her mate! Being closer to her will heal her." I could tell that my wolf hated me at the minute for being so stupid. So I did as I was told and held her hand. Tingles made there way up my arm .  Then I remembered something. Cynthia wasn't the only one in the room.

Tana was with her. Without a moments hesitation I told one of the nurses to look in the bathroom to see if she was there. The nurse scurried off into the bathroom leaving me the doctor and the other nurse in the bedroom.
"Alpha ." I looked up at the doctor.
" Luna is ok her bump hasn't raised any concerns. She should wake up soon. And the baby has a steady heartbeat which is good.For now I will give you some pain killers that she should take every four hours. Make sure she drinks plenty of water and if there's any problems bring her into hospital and I will see her immediately." I nodded my head just as Tana walked out of the bathroom with the nurse. Her face was all puffy and red and tears rolled down her cheeks.

Once she saw me she ran over to me. She placed her head on my shoulder and wailed.

"Shoosh it's alright I'm here no one will hurt you." I reassured her.

"I..it's m..mm.. My fault she is hurt. S..she p..protected me" she wailed.
I rubbed her back and signalled for the the nurses and doctor to leave the room. I looked over at Cynthia. Her face had regained its colour and her breathing had returned to normal. Slowly wrapping my arms around Tana I picked her up and placed her on the bed next to Cynthia. She snuggled into the pillow. She was so cute. I wish I knew what happened to her mum. For now I will protect her and Cynthia. Hopefully we will find her mum. I don't know what I will do if we don't. I smiled at them both on the bed before cover them up with the bed cover and sitting on the floor next to Cynthia. I linked my hand with hers. There was one thing that I knew for sure, I loved her and no matter what nothing would hurt her or our baby again.

I know I know I'm bad I haven't updated but this wasn't my main priority. I will try to do my best to update Regularly but if I can't just know that I will update at some point.
