chapter 27

Shane:

I pounced on the rogue slicing his throat. He fell limp to the ground a pool of blood surrounding him. A howl roared from my throat. The king had come to collect his queen and he wasn't ever going to let her go.  I bounded towards the pack of rogues clawing and biting anyone who got in my way. My pack followed killing the strays whimpering in the dirt.

I howled again as more rogues shifted attempting to bring me down. None were successful.  All that was left by the end of the fight was a bunch of dead rogues lying in the ground.  Behind all the rogues was my beautiful Cynthia. Her face worn and tired as blood leaked form a gash in her stomach.

I shifted and a pack member (who was carrying my clothes) through me my clothes. I quickly changed.

"LET HER GO" I growled. He tutted. The little traitor. I was going to rip him to shreds.

"Shane. Welcome to the party. Me and Cynthia were having a lovely time. Now one step closer and she dies." He dug his claws into her wound. She screamed and I held my head up growling. Tears flooded my eyes but I couldnt show my weakness.

"Go ahead see if I care.. All she has ever done to me and my pack is bring pain and sorrow. I came to see her death. But your little mutts wouldnt let me through so obviously I had to take them out." I uttered laughing.

He looked at me smirking but all I could focus on was the hurt that crossed Cynthias face.

Cynthia:

I looked towards him not caring about the claws in my stomach. This pain was much worse. Those words pierced my heart. I felt like I was being stabbed a thousand times over and over again. Tears escaped my eyes as I sobbed. I thought he loved me. I loved him.

"Shut it!" James shouted to me slapping me across the face and with his other hand digging deeper into my flesh with his claws. I sobbed harder."

"Get on with it already. your wasting time." Shane growled. James smirked and leaned down to face me. He planted a kiss on my lips and held my face in his hands. 

He pulled away "Shame sweetheart, you could have been mine." He uttered before slashing my chest with his other hand. I let out a in-human scream as I sunk lower to the ground. The only things holding me up were the shackles around my wrist. My head hung low as I felt the blood drain out of my body.  I looked up at shane as black dots invaded my vision. All at once he pounced on the smirking Jacob and slit his throat. I felt him wrap his arms around me.

"I love you princess. It was just to get him to think we were on his side. Im so sorry. I didnt mean for you to be hurt even more." He cried. 

I smiled but the pain increased as black dots invaded my vision once again.

I looked around. It felt familiar. I knew where I was. Standing up I walked around aimlessly.

"My dear." I whirled around to see the moon Goddess in front of me.

"Mother. Why am I here?" I asked already knowing the truth.

"You already know why my dear." I didnt want to hear those words.

"No... No please Mother send me back. Please I beg of you. I need him.  My children. I cant." I cried crumbling to my knees.

I felt her arms wrap around me.

"shoosh my child. I know its hard."  I turned away from her looking at the ground. Then before me appeared an image.

It was Shane and Daisy. Shane holding Mayra and Daisy holding Brandon. Shane was crying. They were both in the hospital next to someone. I placed my hand on the image and move it over. That someone was me. I was paler than the moon and the bp monitor displayed a long straight line. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I whispered "I love you Shane. Take care of them."

As if hearing me he looked up and around before smiling and rocking Mayra back and Forth.

I will always be here for him as I am the Moon Goddess Daughter.
