Recap:

"Look, I admit that we knew each other a long time ago. But a lot has changed, you're not the same and I sure as he.ll am not the same either, okay? So let's stop pretending like we are just going to pick up from where we left off because the truth is, we only knew each other for a day, so there isn't really much to pick up from is there." Lucas goes into the classroom they were standing outside of, leaving Sawyer confused and disappointed. She really thought things were going to go well between them. What life changing event had Luke experienced while she was gone?

Sawyer was left dazed and stunned outside of her Spanish classroom after Luke had left her. What did he mean he wasn't the same? All Sawyer could think about while entering the class was why he would think that. Why Luke would think that she expected the same 4 year old she left 14 years ago. Of course he wasn't the same, she wasn't the same either. Well, not exactly anyways, Sawyer was still basically her 4 year old self, just a lot more grown and a little more mature.

As she sat down in an empty desk, the teacher walked in. Sawyer expected the teacher to introduce her but Mr. Whatever just carried on with class like she had been there the entire year. It turned out that her class at her old school was an entire unit ahead, so she used this time to ponder the thoughts she had been waiting to address since she arrived in Ravenwood. Most of her thoughts were consumed by Luke. What happened to him? Why was he so cold now? From what Sawyer could remember, Lucas was a cute little 5 year old boy without a care in the world, so what changed?

With that last thought the bell had rung, but a light bulb had flickered over Sawyer's head. Calum, the black haired boy Lucas had walked in with this morning. He must have answers for her, and she was determined to get them.

Sawyer somehow managed to find her way to the peer-helping room where she met Declan again who gave her a curious look with a smile.

"What happened this morning? How do you know James Coffland? Did you know him as a child? What is your relationship with him?"

"Woah, Declan. One at a time please. Hm.. well this morning I walked to class with 'James', I used to be his neighbor, yes I knew him when he was 5 and we're just friends... I suppose we're closer to acquaintances now than friends."

"Oh, well you should stay away from him. He's not good for you to be around. The cops had to take him more than once, Riley. I'm saying this as a friend you've known for less than a day; which means I'm being completely and totally honest, don't associate yourself with that guy. He's not good for you." And this comment from Declan really seemed to bug her. Who was he to be bossing her around?

"Thanks for your concern Declan, but I can take care of myself. And like I said, I know 'James' probably a lot better than you do, and like you said; you've only known me for a day so you don't really know whats best for me, do you?" Sawyer turned around and gave all her attention to her teacher for the rest of class.

When the bell rang, Sawyer immediately left the class room leaving a trail of dust that Declan did not even try to follow. If she did not want his help, then he would not be there to offer it. Sawyer set out to find the source of her problems, Lucas. He wasn't that hard to spot, everyone stays away from him. It was as if they stood closer than 3 feet away from him, they would turn to stone. She walked straight up to him, grabbed him by the ear and dragged him out the school's front doors.

"Ow! What the hell is wrong with you, Greene?"

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with me? I will tell you what is wrong. You are what's wrong, and something needs to be done. Look, I know I didn't really know you for that long. A day to be exact. And I know that I have been gone for a really long time, but do you mind telling me what the hell happened to you during those years so I don't have to walk on ice every time I try and talk to you? Because I'm planning on talking to you a lot."

"Listen here, Greene. You've only known me for a day so you don't really know anything about me, do you? So don't randomly show up and try to tell me what to do for your benefit because you know nothing about me. All you know is my name." And with that he walked away, again.

"Why do you keep walking away?" Sawyer cried after him. She just moved back and she is feeling the worse than she ever had. Worse than every two years and she had to leave all her friends.

"Look, I'm sorry! Please, just come back... you're the only one I know here." This one comment seemed very interesting to Lucas.

"I'm the only one you know here you say?" He laughed, "You met a cute bloke on your first day here, Riley. Don't lie to me." And then he was gone, but what Sawyer couldn't believe wasn't that he left, but  it was that he called her by her first name.

Hey Guys! I have been gone for sooo long, and I am sooo sorry. School has been drowning me now that I'm closer to finals and there has been a lot of drama in my life, I know that's not a good excuse but that's really all I've got. I hope you like this chapter, I know it was really short but I feel like it has some really good content and it's been really dramatic. I will try to update the next chapter by next week!!
