It's the week of Thanksgiving; I buy some cheap sake at the liquor store. However, I'm bringing Sake so they could try the type I liked. I grabbed an expensive one that is usually ¥20,000, but cost me only $20 here. Mike and I did some Thanksgiving shopping and people are making last minute purchases. We both split up so we could get our shopping done faster. It's a Monday which is normally a slow day but when holidays roll around, it's just as busy as the rest of the days.

I grab as much fresh pasta I could find. We both grab a pizza kit since we're having an Italian Themed Thanksgiving. His mother makes great cannolis and I'm finally fluent in Italian but I can't write it out; I can only speak Italian.

After Mike and I finished our Thanksgiving shopping, we purchased our groceries and brought it back to our apartment. Mike grabbed most of the heavy bags and I took the lighter ones. I see Lukio pass by me and the same girl that I saw at work. We both made it to our apartment; put all the groceries away. Mike and I cleaned the fridge and cupboards that had expired food in it.

"So Meiko are you sure you're comfortable sleeping with me now?" Mike asked me.

"Yeah I am. I sort of think we should be getting comfortable now so it's not awkward when we're married." I tell him.

Mike put the pasta kit in the freezer and I put the cans and snacks in the cupboards. We both unwind and watch an Italian romance flick. It was rated 97% on a video review site that was extremely reliable. His parents recommended it but we decided to see how people thought of it. There was one that was 47% and we knew it wasn't that good after we watched it. The movie started and Mike made some popcorn we bonded a little. To be nice he put the English subtitles on since there would be words I wouldn't know and certain sentence structures I wouldn't be used to.

When the movie started I recognized some Italian and Japanese stars that made an appearance in this movie. I grabbed some popcorn as Mike wrapped his arm around my shoulder. We watched the movie until the end. It was a remake of a classic.

Mike and I made some dinner for the night. I made him some pasta and miso soup. He liked my miso and said it tasted better than the one in a Chinese restaurant. It was close to flu season and Mike told me that if he got it, he wanted me to make him some ramen in miso and in turn he would get me free meals at an expensive Italian restaurant.

As the miso was cooking I added some seaweed and tofu in the broth and brought it all to a boil. I feel my congestion getting better, since I'm hit hard during allergy season back in Japan. Mike brought out some pasta and cooked some in the microwave. This was a normal routine of both of us making dinner for ourselves. Mike enjoyed making me Italian food and he got better at it.

As I finished the miso soup and put some spices in it; the smell penetrated my nose as the broth steamed up with apartment. I grab two bowls and fill it up and bring it to the table. Mike grabbed the bowl of pasta and evenly distributed it between us.

"Meiko how did you learn to cook this way? Your miso tastes really good." Mike compliments me.

"Thanks but I was never great at cooking so I learned as I spent time with you." I tell him while sipping on my soup.

"Well you're getting better at it. I think my parents are going to like you later in our relationship. Meiko I don't want anything bad to happen to you." Mike tells me.

After a few minutes we both finish and clean up. It's close to 22 hours, so we both clean up and go straight to bed. I take the left side and Mike took the right. Mike pulls me next to him as we both fell asleep.

It's Thanksgiving, and Mike is helping me make the pizza and many other Italian dishes. He boiling the pasta right now. I bring the sake toward the door. I ask Mike to help me bring down a tray for the pizza. I chop up the mozzarella and basil. Mike grabs the wine from our wine cooler and puts it with the sake which is in a liquor case. I finish making the pizza and put in the oven for 1 hour at 360 degrees. We both help each other make our pasta. We're making a chicken Alfredo with a gourmet flair. Mike is roasting the chicken in the oven and once it was done we made the sauce and combined the three ingredients and finishing on time.
