Chapter 23 Reunion

It's been 5 years since Meito was born. He has grown to have Mike's personality. He never met Sakine in person because she's in college right now. However, Sakine is planning on spending her semester break with us despite living in North Carolina and becoming a police officer. She's coming over this summer to the reunion. Meito is excited to meet his sister for the first time.

"Meito how do you say well in Italian?" Mike asked.

"Buono" Meito says.

"Japanese?"

"Genki." Meito says.

Mike and I are going teach Meito both Japanese and Italian. Mike's teaching him German because I never picked up on it, only Italian was what I understood. We both believe that if he knows four different languages that he'll succeed in school faster than most of peers who just know English. Meito is in school, although knowing four is good know, five is an accomplishment. Lucania is teaching Luke English, Japanese, and Italian whereas Gäpöuk is teaching him Russian and German. Sakine could never pick up on German but at least she knows three languages.

Sakine us telling that her flight is just boarding. We were going to a huge reunion in North Carolina at a beach house, Lucania's manager rented out. He's a huge cheapskate so we got to go on a private jet. Meito is excited to see his sister.

"Meito are you all packed up we're leaving tomorrow." I say.

"Almost okaasan." Meito replies.

We were all packed up for the night, and I decide to sleep on the couch. Meito was in his room sleeping since we were all tired from packing all day. The following morning, I wake up both Mike and Meito to tell them we have to leave. Meito is putting on his clothes and brings his little tablet and suitcase to the airport with him. I meet up with Lucania who's at gate waiting for me.

"Hey Lucania." I say hugging her.

"Meiko it's a surprise to see you again. Meito gotten bigger." Lucania says.

"How's Luke and Gäpöuk doing?" Mike asked.

"They're okay, can't wait for our big reunion. Our manager is excited to meet up with everyone. He still wants to know if we found you yet. Don't worry, he wouldn't recognize you if he was here. He's at the beach house and some of the others got there early." Lucania says.

We both exit the airport to a private area where we get into Lucania's private jet. It was going to be an 8-hour flight to the airport. I haven't been to the outer banks yet but Lucania went there for her honeymoon since they wanted to go to the beach and it was summertime.

As we waited, we didn't eat since the others are making food for us already. We were talking and doing some catching up. My old manager wouldn't recognize me because my voice changed and I have a slight tan now.

Once we arrived, it was 4 p.m. local time. We all grabbed our luggage and met up with Allen and Sakine who were already there. As we loaded up the car we got inside and we put Meito in his booster seat.

"How was your plane ride Meiko?"Allen asked.

"It was okay, but how are the others doing?" I asked.

"They're okay but our manager doesn't know that your here with us we are doing a video recording of this experience so we can post it online." Allen says.

"That would be interesting and the whole world is watching." Sakine says laughing.

"Come on Miku and Kaito didn't even recognize me in marriage boot camp, what makes you think he'll remember my face." I added.

"I don't know but, I just want to see the others." Lucania says.

As we arrived at the beach house the smell of meat cooking reached the front door. Mike is holding Meito as we walked the little path leading to the back. Rillianna welcomes me back and my manager 'Hiyama-sensei' was sitting under the shade. The camera crew were already recording and the reveal was almost ready. We were planning that around 8; we would have a bonfire and do the reveal.

"Mike can you grab the sodas and silverware from my trunk?" Aitök asked.

"Allen help out with this there may be a lot of boxes and cases for me to unpack." Mike says.

Allen and Mike were helping each other out and bringing the boxes and cases. I talk to Käis and we both noticed how my manager didn't recognize me. Meito was sitting in my lap and sleeping because he was tired from the plane ride.

"Mike, Aitök can you pick up the catering for me? Here's the order ticket" Gäpöuk says.

Sakine was talking to her cousins Allen and Rillianna. They were both throwing a Frisbee toward each other. Some time passes by, Aitök and Mike bring back sides and catering. I wake up Meito who was well rested. He rubs his eyes with his small hands.

"Kiyoteru, are you ready to eat?" Käis asked.

We all started to eat. Mike was helping Meito get some food. The whole house smelled like barbecue. I sit next to Lucania who is speaking to Aitök. Kiyoteru offers me a sake but I decline knowing that I don't want to relapse. Allen and Rillianna are spending time with Meito.

There was so much food but we all managed to eat it. Mike and Aitök as always are speaking to each other in German.

"Aitök you know German?" Kiyoteru asked.

"I spoke German a lot during our first debut. Remember when we toured Germany I knew how to order an ice cream and got my favorite flavor. Also I didn't have my Japanese accent when I spoke German." Aitök says.

"Didn't Meiko know Irish Gaelic?" Kiyoteru asked.

"I think she only knew English and Japanese." Käis said.

There were so many discussions being said but I decided to keep quiet until the bonfire. The desserts were brought out. There were so many sweets that I decided to try one of each. Mike ate next to me as if our bond gotten stronger.

"Rillianna what did you put in this whipped pudding it tastes so good." Mike says.

"Just chocolate hazelnut spread, bananas, marshmallows, and powdered sugar." Rillianna replies.

"You should be a chef Rin." Kiyoteru says.

We all laugh but she enjoys construction. However, she's following her dreams. She's a former child star who didn't fall into the pit of despair and collapse like some of the American stars do. She never allowed the fame go to her head. She had a close bond with Allen and the two helped each other out when life turned its back on them.

"Well you know we have our own vocaloid now." Rillianna says.

"What's their names?" Aitök asked.

"Rin and Len." Allen says.

"Like your stage name." I added.

"Yes." Allen says.
