Misunderstandings

Part 15: Rescue

"How do we get out?" I asked.
"I'm not sure." He replied.
"It as your idea to go this shortcut way." He added laughing.
"Sorry." I said laughing also.
The shortcut was a stupid idea, we were in the middle of a wood sitting down next to trees. I had no idea where we were, but this is usually the way Riley takes me to the beach.
Unluckily I didn't have my phone to text her.
"Do you have your phone?" I asked.
"Yeah but I don't think we're still in L.A." Matt said pointing at a sign.
The sign said "welcome to Springfield."
"Oh god." I replied.
"Do you know anyone who's an expert with these roads?" Matt asked.
"Um yeah my Friend Riley." I said.
"Here call her and try to see if she can find us." He said as he handed me his phone.
I immediately checked the clock it was already 3:30. Ugh we're late for sure.
I dialed Riley's number and she picked up.
"Hey who's this?" She asked.
"Riley it's me." I said.
"Melody?" She asked
"Yeah, I'm lost I need you to come pick me up. I'm lost at the road the shortcut place we always take to go to the beach." I told her slowly.
"Ok ok, is there any signs of where you're at?" She asked.
"Uh, some place called Springfield." I told her.
"Ok I'll come to get you." She said as she hanged up.
"My friend Riley's coming." I said handing him back his phone.
"Thank the lord." He said laughing.
I also laughed but was also feeling a little queasy.
Five minutes later Riley comes and finally find us. We told Riley what happened and she took us to the beach in 6 minutes surprisingly.
"Thanks Ry!" I yelled as me and Matt got off and Riley heads back.
"Your friend is nice." He says as we head to where the shoot is located.
Matt and I walk about a mile until we reached where the shoot is suppose to be there. We're about 2 hours late.
"Wait. Stop." Matt said as he blocked my way as I was about to go where Cam is.
"Why?" I asked.
"You...can't..." He said stuttering.
"Just move.." I said as I smiled and pushed him.
To see Cam and a brown haired girl kissing. She was wearing a bikini and he was in his shorts and they seem as if they were enjoying each other.
My heart stopped. Why would Cam be kissing her? Tears filled my eyes.
