As I met back up with Riley she took me home. I was practicing my walks and turns because graduation is tomorrow. I was excited and a bit queasy. I really hoped Cam would be there without that Rachel girl.
The next day...
It was graduation day. I was so excited and stressed. So many things could go wrong. I immediately got dressed and applied on makeup and rushed down.
"Relax Pumpkin, it isn't until 11 it's only 8 right now." My mom said as I sat to eat breakfast.
"Mom how are you calm? I'm so worried and excited and scared and..." I had to stop because my mom interrupted.
"Relaxxx Mel." She said as she kissed my forehead.
"I'm so proud of you, I can't believe my little girl's graduating. If..." She stopped as tears filled her eyes.
"If what?" I asked even though I know what she was going to say. She was going to say if only Cam was here.
"Nothing." She said as she cleared her throat and turned the other way.
I got up and sat at the car till it was time to go.
We arrived at the building and I rushed up a different stair and talked with Riley as we're getting ready.
"Can't believe thissss." Riley said nervously.
"I know right, it was yesterday we started preschool." I added.
The Ceremony started and one by one people were getting their diplomas.
"Melody Decker..." Said Principal Ron.
I went out and shook his hand and took my diploma, though it was like 50 seconds it was the best 50 seconds of my life. After a while I waited to see when Cam would go...I didn't hear a 'Cameron Dallas' not once. Then to my surprise the last person was Cam.
He looked handsome as always with a blue gown. His smile wide and bright, it's almost as if he's happy without me.
After the ceremony there was a party for just the seniors and we all were dancing. Riley tried pushing me into random strangers but I told her to stop. I sat down on the bleachers as everyone else was dancing. I looked around and saw Cam and that Rachel Bentley girl dancing.
I made eye contact with him but I immediately looked away as if I didn't know him.
Then she swung her arms around his shoulders and and pulled him close.
"Please push her away...." I whispered to myself, hoping he would push her away. Instead he leans forwards and kisses her. My heart ached and it was burning. My cheeks burned and I was trying to hold the stupid feelings and stupid tears back.
"He's not worth it...he's a jerk...stop having feelings." I whispered to myself.
"You ok?" Asked a voice.
It was Matt.
"Hey..." He said he as sat next to me and hands me a drink.
"Thank." I said as I chug the alcohol down.
"Slow down there speedy Gonzalez." He says smiling.
"Why are you here anyways?" I asked as I take countless numbers of shots.
"Cam invited me, but I guess i'm the third wheel." He says as he scratches his neck.
"No you're not." I said not thinking and pulling him up and threw my arms around his shoulders.
I didn't know what I was doing. I felt dizzy and drunk. I looked back and saw Cam's face go mad.
I pulled Matt close and started kissing him. I kissed him hard and rough.
I didn't even care at the moment about anything. I hated Cam. I hated everything.
"Wow..slow..." Matt says trying to speak but I kept kissing him. Not letting him talk. I'm not even feeling his kiss. I just want to make Cam jealous.
