Antoinette's P.O.V
I started pacing around and was thinking hard. "No, no way! It can't be me, I'm not magical. I'm just a girl. You're insane!" I screamed at him. He just smirked and looked straight through me. "Oh Antoinette, you have so much to learn." He told me. "Come, we have much training to do to prepare you to save Neverland." Pan used his magic and transported us back to camp. "Take some time for your own, explore the island. But don't even think about trying to leave, there will be consequences if you do.." he warned me. I shuddered and just headed towards the beach.
I was walking around the beach when I decided to go for a swim. I started to undress and enter the water, but then I heard a stick snap in the woods. "Hello?" I called out anxiously and sunk deeper in the water to cover myself. "Is someone there?" No answer. "Hmm" I thought to myself. "Must have just been some kind of animal or something." As I swam around, I started thinking about what Pan had told me and the more I thought about it, the less I believed it. "What did he mean by 'saving Neverland'?" I thought out loud. "There's no such thing as magic!" I yelled to no one in particular. I swam around for a while longer and eventually made my way back to shore. I put on the rest of my clothes and walked back towards the camp.
When I arrived, the campsite was almost entirely empty. "Where is everyone?" I said out loud. "The boys, have gone off to hunt." said Felix who was behind me. "Felix!" I said turning around. "You startled me." He ignored me and looked at me straight in the eyes. "Let me make something clear Antoinette. If you dare to break Pan's heart, know that I will kill you. It will be slow and painful so you can feel everything you did to him." he said threateningly. "What do you mean 'break his heart'?" I asked questioningly. "Does.. does Pan like me?" Before Felix could respond Pan walked into the camp. "Ah Antoinette, you've returned. Did you get a chance to see the island?" he asked me. "Uh yeah, I went down to the beach." I replied not really paying attention.
My mind was racing, thinking about when Felix had just told me. Does Pan care for me? I thought to myself. "Well then, I hope you liked what you saw." Pan said, snapping me out of my trance. "Come, there are many things to show you." Pan grabbed my arm and whisked us to the other side of the island. "What are you doing?" I asked cautiously. "I'm going to teach you magic of course." he replied as if I didn't already know. "What are you talking about? Magic isn't real! I don't have it, and you're crazy if you think you can teach it to me!" I said, raising my voice. "Oh Antoinette, there is so much you don't know. So much you have to learn." Pan replied. "I don't know what you mean!! There isn't anything to freaking learn!" I yelled." Pan remained calm which continued to irk me. "Light it." he said pointing to a small campfire. "Excuse me?" "Light it. I know you have it in you Antoinette. You can do this." Pan told me confidently. "HOW?! This is impossible!! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC!!!" I screamed at him. "Do you smell that Antoinette?" Pan asked me gently. "Smell what?!" I yelled at him, annoyed that he had interrupted my temper tantrum. "Smoke" he said with a smirk. I looked down and saw a small fire burning in the pit. "No.. there's no way I did that. That's... that's impossible." I said quietly. "Oh but Antoinette, you did do that. All it took was for you to tap into something that was holding you back and turn it into your strength. In this case, that would be your anger." Pan scoffed. "No way, it must have been those Moonberries. I had some when I was at the beach. Devon said that they can strengthen ones mind and body. It was probably just those..." I said with shock in my voice. "Oh Antoinette, that's just a myth. It's not real. That was all you. You did that. You are capable of so much more than you think you know." Pan told me. And he walked away and left me with my thoughts, staring into the fire.
Pan's P.O.V
"There isn't anything to freaking learn!" Antoinette yelled at me. I drew a breath and remained calm because I knew getting upset with her would get me nowhere. I knew that she could do this, I just had to show her that I believed in her. "Light it." I said pointing at the firepit. "Excuse me?" she replied, slightly irritated. "Light it. I know you have it in you Antoinette. You can do this." I told her with confidence in my voice. "HOW?! This is impossible!! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC!!!" she screamed at me. I looked down and smiled. "Do you smell that Antoinette?" I said looking back up at her. "Smell what?!" she yelled at me. I gestured towards the small fire and smirked. "Smoke." "No.. there's no way I did that. That's... impossible." she said quietly, looking down at her feet. "Oh but Antoinette, you did do that." I told her. "All it took was for you to tap into something that was holding you back and turn it into your strength. In this case, that would be your anger." I scoffed at her. "No way." she said still in denial. "It must have been those Moonberries. I had some when I was at the beach. Devon said that they can strengthen ones mind and body. It was probably just those..." "Oh Antoinette, that's just a myth." I told her. "That's not real, that was all you. You did that. You are capable of so much more than you think you know." And leaving her with that final thought, I walked away and left her alone.
