First Date

"Jade. I think you should go on a date." mom said while brushing my hair. Yes. Nakauwi na kami from the camping. Nalungkot daw sya kasi ang tagal naming nawala ni Jaden.

nagvibrate yung phone ko from my pocket. Sino naman kaya to?

Pinabayaan ko munang magdaldal yung lalaki sa harap ko since he is so full of stories at ng kayabangan. I checked my phone and read some messages.

May isa kay Jaden asking if I am enjoying my date. yes ! nasa date ako ngayon. mapilit si mommy. I'm not getting any younger na daw pinagbigyan ko na. ano pa bang ggwn ko sa taong mahal ko na nalulungkot? pasayahin ko na lang di ba? :)

isang text galing kay Gen, one of my colleagues sa new work ko. since hiyang hiya ako sa ginawa ni Liam kay Joe nung wake ni dad. pero we're still "friends" and hanging out.

isa kay Ady nagtatanong kung anong magandang partner sa heelless nude. Ugh. and last one is Liam.

"Heard you've got a date"

i hit reply.

"Not really into teasing right now mr. Sy."

and in a flash my phone vibrated again.

"I see you're enjoying his company"

What the hell? I looked around and bam! Saw him outside Abe's restau with his volvo wearing blue v-neck tee that hugs his sex-god-frame and white three forths and his bed hair.

Tinignan ko ulit yung lalaki. His name is Alden. Grabe. Ang yabang nya sa'kin. Lahat ng pagyayabang nasa kanya na! Mas malupit pa kay Liam. Hindi nya ba kilala kung sino kausap nya? Cum laude to!!!

I can see from my peripheral that Liam entered the restau and sat somewhere near enough to hear us.

"Have you tried their squids? It's delish." he said while eating. Mouth-full!! Really? Kadiri lang. Malapit na syang matapos kumain.

"Yeah." since it's my favorite restau you stupid dumb ass.

"So Jade, I went to Singapore last month and it was freezing cold. Snow was all over the place."

oh I swear I would laugh any moment now. Did he just said na may snow sa Singapore?

I smiled para naman hindi maging rude.

After nya kumain I asked the waiter sa bill.

then came,

"Hati mo Jadey?"

what? What the fuck! Talagang talaga? Hati kami? I mean, bro no problem pero wow, first date namin ah. I'm still shock when a guy... Liam approached us.

"here's the money, keep the change." Inabot nya sa waiter yung bayad, hinila ako and looked at Alden.

"Bro, if you have a date treat her. Are you that poor to let a girl pay? And hey, walang snow sa Singapore you dumb ass." with that, we left Alden and everyone in the area was looking at him. Poor guy. :( *note sarcasm here*

We're now walking in the mall. Nararamdaman kong maraming nakatingin. Nakakaintimidate naman tong kasama ko.

"I see you chose your date pretty well" a little hint of teasing there. Ugh.

"Shut up." I said.

"You should at least say 'thank you Liam. You're the greatest'" Mga linya ko sa kanya dati kapag may nagagawa syang favor for me.

"Yea yea yea. Thanks for saving me."

"Ilang dates pa yan?" tanong n'ya.

"Dunno. Why?"

"Nothing." deretso lang syang naglalakad hanggang mareach namin ang starbucks.

"What are we doing here?"

"I'll show you a real date"

he ordered strawberry frap with pudding and mine was chocolate. Man this is delish!

syempre he paid for it.

Tahimik kami sa labas at nagssmoke sya. Ugh. Boys and cigars. -_-

"Why are you so quiet?"

"There is nothin to talk about. And I'm enjoying my frap."

"When's your next date?"

"Tom. afternoon."

"Want me to be your knight and shinning uhh... hot man?"

"wow mas malupit ka pa sa kasama ko kanina sa kayabangan."

"Tss. At least hindi ko sinabing may snow sa Singapore.

We both laugh. It was something really fun. Never seen Liam like this or have I seen this like him? Nakalimutan ko lang?

it was now time to go. It was fun. Hinatid nya ko sa bahay and I flew to my room with a huge smile on my face. I'll tell you the story next time. but now, I need to sleep. May date pa ko bukas. -_-
