"Don't chalk me up to anything less than sin."
Your Soft Blood by Sorority Noise

We left, and we are off into our groups. Or teams, whatever you please.

The vehicle is open, and the cold harsh wind is blowing everywhere. It's hard to hear, but since I'm the general of this team, I tell them what to do. There are five people on my team, not including myself.

Toby, which is one of the newer soldiers, and is a bit chubby. He still sounds like a kid, and I'd hate to see him go. His hair is black, and his eyes are even blacker. He sits in the back, gun in hand. Waiting for whatever to come up on us.

Logan. He is a bit off. His hair is as white as the whites of his eyes, and he has dull blue eyes. He hasn't said much, but made it clear that he wasn't a new coming. He sits in the driver seat, driving the vehicle widely.

Otis. Otis doesn't say much either, but I'm pretty sure he's friendlier than Logan. Otis has hair that is black, and his eyes are brown. He always smiles at everyone who looks his way. He isn't new either.

Next is Theodore. His skin is dark, unlike mine. I'm as pale as a ghost. His head is completely shaven. He has blue eyes too. I don't really know about him. He is young, and newbie, around my brothers age.

Then there is Spencer. He reminds me of me, in a way. When I first came to camp, I was shy and sad. Just like him. The gun sits in his lap awkwardly, and he looks uncomfortable. I don't want to lose him either, but hopefully he'll make it.

We all sit in the truck, piled up on top of each other. The truck is painted black, just like our uniforms. It is night time, I'm not for sure the correct time. The sun has already disappeared into the blue, and left us with the moon. There aren't many trees out here, considering we are on enemy territory.

They thought it would be easier to spot us without trees. I'll give it to them, it's pretty smart.

We aren't supposed to fight anyone tonight, but our mission is to break into a house. We had to get things to survive because we were handed nothing but the clothes on our backs and guns.

Secret attacks, they had said. They wake up in the morning with half of their people gone, then what are they gonna do?

Fight of course, but I think the Regrime wants their wrath. They didn't say what we should do with our... prisoners. Keep them with you and make sure they don't free.

Raid everything in there house, make sure they are scared for their lives.

Make them afraid of the Regrime.

And so here we are, a hundred miles away from my parents and into the battle field.

I'm not for sure where my brother went, or who he may be with. I hope he'll be okay.

First step is to set up camp around the mountains. Hiden.

Then we are to drive to the closet house, take the people and their things.

They said we could kill them if we please.

Then we eat.

Then we sleep.

Next we wake up, ready to fight their way.

We are currently driving to the mountain. It slowly rises as we get closer. Every one but Logan looks out the window. Searching for enemies. Almost all of them hold their gun up, ready to fight for their life. But Spencer doesn't. He sits in the back with Toby, tears in his eyes. His eyes are glued to the gun. I can't help but to feel sorry for him.

"Eyes on the road, Spencer!" I growl out instead. He jerks up, and gazes out the window with shaking hands.

"If we want to stat alive, you better fucking try!" I remind them.

Logan shrugs. "What if we don't want to stay alive, Sir?"

"Then at least help the others who actually want to live, live." He didn't say anything after that, just glanced at me in the corner of his eye.

As we get closer to our destination, I start to load my gun and get ready.

No, there might no be anyone there. But just in case. I don't want them to get harmed.

A rabbit runs out in our path, Logan slams on the breaks. The truck screeches, the gravel is thrown up everywhere. There isn't any seatbelts in here, so everyone flies forward. My head hits the dashboard and a loud CRUNCH goes into my ears.

At first, I don't feel anything, but I can tell something has happened to my nose. I slowly raise my head.

"Dude, what the hell?" Otis screams from the back. Logan looks at me, wide eyed.

"You have, uh, blood.." Logan mumbles to me. Automatically, my hand goes to my nose. A warm liquid falls on my hand, and runs down my neck. As soon as my fingers makes contact, a pain appears.

I squeeze my eyes.

"Did you do this on purpose?" I ground out.

"Well, no. I didn't purposely put a rabbit in the road."

I open my eyes, and I'm still holding my nose.

"Continue to go, Logan. Just don't do it again." I growl out. I push on my nose, and grind my teeth through the pain. It snaps back into place.

"That's sick," Theodore says and gags.

All the soldiers are named after animals I've had. :) please vote and comment.
