"Kayla! Kayla! We're late wake up we have to go!" I woke up to the sound of Amber scuffling to picking out cloths for me to wear. "We have to go we already missed 1st period.!" She said throwing me a pair of black leggings and and a hoodie.

My hair was already dry so I just brushed it and put it in another messy bun. We headed out the door. My mom and dad were already at work. Thank god i thought to myself "What ever you do don't tell mom and dad we were late" I said pulling out of the drive way rushing to school.

"What ever you do don't get a ticket slow down Kayla!" I realized how fast I was going and slowed down. We pulled up to the school and ran in almost tripping over the curb.

"You're late" the woman at the front office said. "Yea we know we over sl- I was cut off, "don't tell me why you're late just sign in and go to class" she snapped at us. We signed in and we both headed to our classes.

It was second period which meant science we were still working on our lab but Toby and I were done so it gave us a chance to talk.

"So where are from and why'd you move here?" Toby asked he never looked at me when he talked.

"I'm from Ohio I live with my mom dad and sister" i said. "You dint answer my second question why'd you move here?"

"Umm" I tried thinking of a lie but nothing came to mind then I thought of something "my dad found a job here" i said smiling nervously.

"So tell me about you" I said I wanted to know more about him he was so mysterious and frankly he was really attractive.

"I'm pretty sure your friend Hannah already told you about me" I looked down messing with my bracelet Amber gave me when she was 5

"Yea she did tell me about you but it doesn't matter what she thinks I want to hear about you." He finally looked up at me.

"It's a long story maybe we can meet up somewhere? After school"

"Sure lets grab some food at Wendy's" (a/n I love Wendy's)

"Okay I'll pick you up at 7:00" he said a small smile coming over his face.

After class I was standing at my locker getting my books out, when I closed it Hannah was there

"Damn it Hannah you scared me!" I said almost dropping my books.

"Come with me, right now!" She started grabbing my wrist, heading twards the girls bathroom.

"What's wrong with you!" I said yanking my wrist away from her.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you! You're hanging out with Toby I thought I told you about him!"

" there is nothing wrong with me having dinner with him Hannah"

"Look if you're gonna hang out with creepy Toby then we can't be friends"

"Well maybe we should and as far as I'm concerned Toby's a better friend than you'll ever be!" I stormed out of the bathroom heading for the lunch room.

I had made some friends from my English class so I decided to sit with today.

"That really happened!" Paige said after I told them about what happened in the bathroom.

"Yea she just got mad because I wanted to talk to Toby"

"I've always stayed away from Toby but it's your life do what you want" Paige was beautiful she had long red hair and freckles and her Eyes we blue.

"Well I'd stay away from that creep!" mike chimed in. "Have you even talked to him" I asked.

"Well.. No but-" I cut him off "but nothing if you've never talked to him you have noting to say"

After lunch was to more periods which was pretty awkward because Hannah was in both of them and we sat by each other in both classes.

After my last class I got my stuff and headed for the door Amber was already standing by the car so we just hopped in and started driving.

"I heard you're going on a date" Amber said looking down at her phone.

"I'm just getting to know someone that's not a date" I continued driving.

"That is a date come on Kayla who is it" she said Turing towards me.

"His name is Toby people think he's weird but I don't I think he's sweet" I said

"You like him don't you" she said smiling at me.

"Shh go in the house" I said pulling up to the drive way

We walked in to the house and my heard up stairs to get ready for my.... Date I guess
