Ever since that first "date", Daniel and I got really close. We would hang out after school at the coffee shop and talk for hours. I knew for sure he was etho and that added to my crush immensely. On Halloween I was supposed to go to Jese's house, but she ended up getting super sick and I couldn't go over. My parents went to a party with my neighbours and my brother went out also. So being all alone, I called Daniel over and we decided to marathon a bunch of horror movies.

"Hi!" I say hugging him as he came through the door. "Hey." He replied laughing his iconic laugh. We decided to take turns handing out candy, so during one movie I had to hand out, and the next he had to, and so on. I wanted to watch cheesy slasher movies (my personal favourite) but he insisted on mystery/murder kinda ones. We finally decided on Case 39 and I made popcorn.

I got up frequently to hand out candy and missed most of the movie, and that cycle continued most of the afternoon until around nine when kids stopped coming. The movies continued and we slowly ended up cuddling after the third movie. I laid my head on his chest, and his right arm wrapped around my shoulder in a warm embrace. I heard his heart start beating faster as the character in the movie walked through a dark hallway and turned the corner into the killer. I chuckled to myself and continued watching. Soon enough it got pretty late and I realized my parents would be arriving shortly from their party, so we stopped at the fifth movie.

I walked him to the door and he started putting on his shoes and coat. "Thank you for coming." I tell him. "Thank you for inviting me." He replied with his dimple smile. We loitered on the porch for a little while talking about the movies.

"I told you that the mom was gonna die first!" He says. "Well it was pretty obvious." I retort. "You have an answer for everything don't you?" He asks smiling. "Mhmm." I smile back showing my own dimple. We stood there for a little longer enjoying the silence. "Well I better get going, thanks again for inviting me!" He says stepping forward, closing the space between us. I didn't know whether we were going to hug or not, so I stood there like a dumbass.

He slowly bent down and kissed my forehead before waving and then walking down the stairs, and down the street. Still standing there like an idiot, I felt my cheeks warm and my stomach flutter.

Man I love Halloween.
