I need to get out this house and do something that can distract me. I walked out the door leaving Cameron in silence and towards the closed door next to me. I held the cold golden door knob about to open it when loud whispers seethed through the door.

I pushed open the door to see all the boys with their heads pressed against the wall. I cleared my throat, "guys?" their heads shot in my direction. "Kylie we um... we just"

"I want to do something, ya know, get out the house"
"But you just got here-" Taylor got cut off by Johnson punching his shoulder. I smiled as Taylor realised what was happening.

"Do you want to talk about what just happened" Nash walked towards me and put his hand on my shoulder. I shook my head no. "I kinda wanna get my mind off of it" Nash nodded understandingly and took something out his pocket. He put the blue cars in my hand.

"Go with Hayes and buy some clothes. Use as much as you want"
"Nash. Thank you but this looks like way too much for me"
"Its the least I can do. After all after everything that's been going on you deserve it." he kissed the top of my head and walked past me into the room Cameron's in.

Hayes slowly stood up from his seat and shoved his hands in his hoodie. He walked over to me avoiding eye contact. "Come on then" he snapped walking past me.

"Hayes-" he ignored me and continued walking towards the door. I sighed and trailed after him, closing the door behind me as I stepped into the sunlight and warmth of California.

.   .   .

"Why don't you buy the more expensive clothes?" Hayes said from behind me.
"What's the point" I picked out one of the more expensive clothes and showed it to Hayes.

"Twenty-nine dollars for a plain white crop top" I turned back around but in the corner of my eye I could see Hayes rolling his eyes and slouching down on the wall he was leaning against. Messing with his hair.

What's wrong with him? Is this because of our thing on the roof back in Jersey? I pushed these thoughts at the back of my head and carried on staring at the endless amounts of clothes rails. they don't really have a lot of darker colours here do they, but I did find a chord choker here. Yep. Progress.

"So. Um Hayes, how are things?" I said awkwardly trying to clear the tension that was between us.
"Wouldn't you like to know" he murmured under his breath. I turned on my heels and took a step forward to Hayes.

"What's your deal Hayes. If you don't want to be around me why did you come here?"
"Do you think I'd win an argument with Nash" he looked away from me.
"Hayes you fucking look at me and tell me what your problem is with me?" he stood up, towering over me.

"I have no problem with you"
"Yes you do Hayes"
"Look I'm not fucking arguing with you in a store so you pay for all your shit and I'm gonna be outside," and with that he stormed out the shop. Leaving me here with a woman staring at me.

I turned my attention to her, "Do I look like a movie screen to you? No so stop staring at me alright" I hissed to the woman.

And walked away to another part of the store to pay for the few things I had in my hand.

.   .   .

"I'm gonna go starbucks" Hayes broke the silence that covered us in the past hour. I actually found a store that had my style so I got most of my stuff from there.

"K" I head footsteps shuffle around. "Want anything" I shook my head no and walked to the other side of a shoe rack and towards the jewellery bit.

"You know you'd really suit shorts" A strange voice from behind me said I looked back to see a boy my age with black slightly spiked hair and brown highlights. He was wearing black skinny jeans, white high tops and a white tank top.

"I prefer jeans thanks" he smiled,
"Well, you'd suit anything" it was my turn to smile, "what's your name" he asked me.

"Kylie"
"Cole" he outstretched his hand for me to shake which I did.

"So telling by your accent your not from the west coast"
"Nope, I've only been there for a few hours"
"Ah so your a newcomer then, well if you want a sightseeing buddy I'm your man" He pointed to himself and gave me a cheesy wide smile which made me laugh.

"You have such a nice laugh" he picked something out of one of the racks, and then something else.
"Here, buy this. It gets hot here and jeans will only make it worse. He passed me a pair of black ripped shorts.

"Thanks Cole"
"Oh and wait here" he walked away a few steps but then looked back. "Don't move" he smiled and I chuckled.

I looked around the store whilst he was doing what ever. I looked out the huge door on the opposite side of the store to see Hayes in the starbucks. I rolled my eyes and averted my eyes to other things.

"Kylie" Cole rushed up to me with something in his hand. He took my free hand and placed something in it.
"I noticed you had a bunch of piercings. So here you go. He let go of my hands and scratched the back of his neck. It was a pack of ear rings. "Cole you didn't have to"

"But I wanted to. Turn it around" I turned the little pack around to see his number in a white sharpie. I smiled and looked up.

Just then Hayes walked up to us. "Kylie lets go... what's happening here?" Cole backed away a little,

"Sorry dude I didn't know she was taken"
"We're not dating" Me and Hayes said together. There was a little silence.

"Um, Cole this is Hayes. Hayes, Cole. Hayes is a- um family friend" I smiled over to Cole.
"Oh okay, well I'll hopefully see you round newbie. And buy those shorts, you'll thank me later" he smiled before leaving the store.

"What shorts?" Hayes took the shorts out of my hands. He shook his head. "No, no way"

"Really Hayes?"
"Look I don't trust guys with tank tops longer than them" I groaned and went to pay for what I picked up. Including the shorts Cole picked out.

I'm gonna move house in a few days which means no wifi. Which means not a lot of posting, so I'm gonna post as much as I can in these few days. (p.s, yes I'm not in school, badass I know but I keep hearing noises upstairs and I'm pissing myself)
