Prologue

"Hold tight!" He screamed at me.

I looked up straight into his eyes. They were full of fear. Fear of letting me go and let me die.

He was holding my right hand as I remained dangling in this chasm. He was shot at the back just a while ago. He can't keep on holding me while he's got wounds. We can't call for help as we are in a mountainous place.

"I can't take it anymore." I spoke.

"No," He whispered, shaking his head and gripped my hand tighter. "Don't even think about letting go."

"It's painful," I said, my eyes glistening with tears. I was also shot in my left arm. "You have to let go."

He shook his head again. "The others are coming, okay? Please stay with me." Before I knew it, tears fell from his eyes.

My chest tightened. I can't let him suffer like this. The others are still two hours away from us. There is only one of us who can live and that is him.

I thought about our past. Every moment that we have spent with each other. Everything.

Once again, I looked straight into his eyes with my tears flowing.

"I love you."

Then I let go of him and I fell.

"No!"

And that was the last thing I have heard from him.
