Chapter 2
Keila
It's raining.Oh gosh, I absolutely hate the rain. It's like Zeus wants to punish me for something I never knew I did.
Now I'm stuck in a café right outside the subdivision I live in. I glanced at my wristwatch to see that I'm already ten minutes late for school. Usually I walk for school since it’s near but dang I forgot to bring my umbrella and the rain's too strong. Finishing my coffee, I heaved a sigh and went outside the café. I started to count.
One.
Two.
Three!
I ran as fast as I could and almost slipped more than ten times. I almost jumped with joy as I finally got inside and past Henderson Academy's main entrance for the students. I've finally arrived but the thing is I'm drenched from head to toe.
Drenched would be an understatement honestly. I was only one of the few students who got wet under the rain since the majority of the students here are filthy rich and has their own cars. Good thing about the rain is that even most teachers got late which includes my own first subject teacher since she wasn’t in my classroom when I got there. Outside the room, I did my best to dry myself with my handkerchief. If I went inside drenched, our class representative will kill me.
As I was about to wipe my hair, a towel was lend right in front of me. I looked up to see an unfamiliar guy right in front of me.
“You may use this,” he told me and smiled genuinely. “Take it, you need it more than I do.”
He technically doesn’t need it. He's all dry and hot as the sun – oh my gosh what the fudge am I thinking about?
“Thanks,” I almost cried deep inside that I didn’t stutter right in front of him. Especially with the fact that I'm ogling at his handsome features.
I took the towel and tried my best to dry my hair and I noticed the guy was still standing in front of me.
“Uh,” I paused drying my hair and looked at him. “I’ll return the towel to you tomorrow so I could still have it washed if that's okay.”
“No, you don’t have to return it to me. It's yours now,” he told me and smiled once again. “While you’re still making yourself dry, may I offer to bring your bag inside? I'm new here but that room’s where I am designated so I guess we’re classmates.”
My legs shook. “Sure. My chair's at the second to the last row beside the window. Thanks again.”
“No problem.”He took my bag from me and went inside.
Woah, that was one heck of a gentleman.
Feeling dry enough, I went inside the room just in time someone else did too. My own eyes met with another girl which, in fact were glaring at me.
“Move, will you?” she snapped at me.
My eyebrows shot up and was about to give a retort when she pushed me aside and went inside the room.
