Star Wars: Darth Bane

The Fateful Duel

Bane and his new apprentice, Darth Cognus, flew in his ship to Ambria. Once they landed, Bane directed Cognus to stay on the ship. Bane drew his lightsaber and ignited the red blade. He ran, not far, but felt a presence, and knew he was not far from his old apprentice.

He turned around, and saw Zannah who had her two blades ignited. They stared each other down, until they both ran to each other at the same time, their blades in a lock. He ducked under Zannah's blade and ran on top of his ship. Cognus looked out of the window of the ship when Zannah jumped on top as well and they continuously clashed blades. Bane did a flip in the air and went for Zannah's head, but she dodged it quickly.

Zannah spinned her saber and Bane dodged all of the attacks, but it was hard. They locked blades again and walked in a circle, staring at each other. Zannah jumped off of the ship and clashed blades over and over with Bane again, while walking back. Zannah was Force pushed back.

"Surrender, Zannah. I have already won." Said Bane. This battle reminded him of when he and Qordis battled, only now, Bane was Qordis.

Bane tried to use Andeddu's teachings about transferring his essence to another body, killing both of them, but Zannah, who was as powerful as Bane, blocked the power with her power. Bane realized this was useless.

Zannah ignited one of her blades, and both of them fought again, clashing sabers, flipping in the air.

Bane used Force Lightning against Zannah, but she deflected it with her blade, making it hit Bane. Bane, now burned, dragged him self across the ground, picking up his lightsaber, but not igniting it in time. Zannah cut off Bane's hand. Bane fell to the ground and screamed in pain. Bane got up on his feet and Zannah crushed his lightsaber with the force.

"I have surpassed you, Bane. Now I am the master." Said Zannah.

"Then prove it." Said Bane.

Zannah stabbed Bane in the heart, instantly killing him. Bane collapsed on the ground. Cognus watched in horror and raced out of the ship. Zannah retracted her blade and hooked the hilt on her belt.

"Don't worry, young one. I will continue your training and take you as my apprentice." Said Zannah.

Cognus nodded her head quickly. They got back in the ship, once Qordis's, once Bane's, now Zannah's. They flew off back to Korriban, and Bane lay on the ground on Ambria, dead.
