2 weeks later.....

Josh's POV:

I sat in a restaurant, waiting for Cathryn. I played with black box that sat in my pocket. I wanted to ask her something and this was the night. This was going to be the best way to do it. I had gotten a vintage ring called The Cleopatra Ring. It was perfect, I knew how much Cathryn loved Egypt and this ring had just stood out. It was a two-toned setting and a large, curved setting with a single diamond. It was 18 karat gold and platinum, I knew it would be perfect.

As she walked in, I felt by breath catch in my through. She had on a skin tight red dress with her hair curled. She smiled as she walked up to me. I stood up, pulling her chair out and kissing her.

“This is kind of fancy.” She laughed as she sat down.

“I thought this would be nice. Romantic.” I smiled as she shook her head.

“It's sweet.” She smiled at me as the waiter brought us a bottle of White Merlot, one of her favorite wines.

“Wine?” I asked, pouring some in my own glass. She nodded and I poured her some as well.

I made small talk as we waited for our food. I thought I would burst, I couldn't remember the last time I had ever been so nervous. There was no reason for me to be nervous. I knew I loved her and I knew what I wanted to say. I had her dad's blessing and I knew she wouldn't turn me down. She wasn't Amanda. I shook the thought of Amanda from my mind as I stood up and took a very deep breath.

“Are you ok?” Cathryn asked as she looked up at me. I dropped to one knee and spoke from my heart.

“Cat, there are no words that can express how I feel for you. Telling you I love you doesn't even begin to explain it. I love being with you and I love seeing how happy you are when we're together. You seem to be on the same wave length I am. You get me like no one else has. You bring me out of the darkness I feel when I'm feeling down. I like to think I do the same. My family loves you and my mom thinks the best of you. Before you I was in a bad place. I don't want to risk going back to that place. I want to be with you and only you. I guess what I'm trying to get out is one simple question. Will you marry me?” I looked up and saw the tears in her eyes as she saw the ring.

“Yes.” She said with a small laugh. I slipped the ring on and she kissed me. She was shaking and crying as she laughed.

“I was worried you might say no.” I laughed as we sat back down.

“I love you, I don't think I would ever tell you no.” She laughed as the waiter brought us some chocolate creme pie.

Once back at her place we knew we had to tell everyone. She hid her hand was we walked in, not wanting anyone to see it. I knew everyone would be waiting to see what happen. They knew what I was going to do, but no one had even seen the ring yet.

“Hey guys.” I laughed as Ramses ran up to us and tried to get our attention. Cat picked him up and looked at everyone.

“How was dinner?” Matt asked, looking at me.

“It was nice. So relaxing. Nothing strange happened.” She smiled, I shook my head as Matt glared at me.

“Nothing major?” Halle asked, looking sad.

“What's with the questions?” She asked as she put Ramses down and Halle saw her hand.

“Oh my god!!!!” She screamed as she got up and shoved me out of the way.

“Calm down Hal!” She laughed as Halle looked at the ring.

“Josh you have amazing taste.” She smiled as she looked at it.

“Thanks.” I laughed as I sat with Matt.

“So you did it.” He laughed.

“Yep.” I was proud of myself as Mike, Megan, and Ian walked in. Megan took one look at Halle and Cat then went to them while Mike and Ian joined me on the couch.

“I guess it happened?” Mike laughed.

“Yea, I thought you'd be the first.” I joked.

“Shit we all did.” Ian laughed as Megan and Halle gushed about the ring.

“Josh what did you say they called this?” Cathryn asked a she walked up to me.

“The Cleopatra Ring.” I smiled.

“So corny.” Ian laughed.

“Fuck you. He knows I love Egypt.” She said as she stuck her tongue out at him.

“So when does bridezilla show up?” He laughed.

“Bridezilla?” She looked confused.

“Ian thinks all woman freak out and go mega monster when it comes to weddings.” Megan laughed.

“Oh.....I just want friends and family. And Ramses.” She smiled.

“What's the dog gonna do?” Matt asked.

“Be the ring barer.” She smiled as he jumped on her lap.

“That's just odd.” Ian shook his head as he tried to picture it.

“I think it'll be cute. Have him in like a little tux with the rings on his collar.” I smiled.

“You've seem 27 dresses.” Megan smiled.

“Yes. Yes I have and I am not ashamed.” I laughed.

“This calls for drinks!” Mike got up and raided the fridge for alcohol.

Cathryn went to call her family and let them know she was now engaged. It was funny how she was being so calm. I had no idea how she did it. She took it in stride and made it look easy. One of the biggest things to happen to her and she was calmer then me.

I am sorry this is so short, the next chapter will be longer and have more to it. This was kind of a filler. I wanted to have the propsal be one chapter. So here it is!
