(Toothless P.O.V.)
"Ok, g-give me the bad news first." I said shakily. "Um ok, he's gonna be in a coma for at least a month. "He not only got stabbed he got hit over the head pretty hard. But he'll make it out alive." She said giving me a reassuring smile. "Ok, can i go see him?" I asked letting my mind get around the thought that he wouldn't wake up for quite sometime. "Yes, he's in room 306, page me if you need anything." She said and walked off.
I rushed over to his room and opened the door. He lay on the bed peacefully asleep. "Hey Hiccup, i-i'm sorry i couldn't stop him from hurting you again." I said sitting next to him. I took his hand and held it in mine tightly. "Please wake up soon, you'll bounce back faster than they say you will, I know you will. " I said staring at him with hopeful and sad eyes. "I'll stay by your side for as long as it takes." I said and planted a small kiss on his forehead. And that's exactly what I did, I sat there for weeks. My mom would come by and try to get me to leave, but I wouldn't budge for three weeks. But then something happened. A miracle.
I sat down by Hiccup staring at his pale, still face. I took his hand and raised it up to my face and placed a small kiss on his knuckles. What I didn't expect was his hand squeezing back. I looked back down at him and realized he was smiling, the first time in three weeks, he smiled. "Hiccup, y-you're awake!" I yelled pulling him into a bone-crushing hug. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" He asked pulling away. "I'll tell you in a minute, be right back!" I yelled running out of the room.
"Hey nurse!" I yelled spotting the woman that would come in and check on Hiccup. "He's awake." I said out of breath. "He is, he's not supposed to be awake for another week." She said following me back to his room. "So why shouldn't I be awake?" He asked sitting up. I explained what happened to him, he didn't remember anything after I had left the room. "Well Hiccup good news is you can go home today." The nurse said and walked towards the door. "Wait, you look familiar, do I know yo-...Mom?" Hiccup said eyes wide. "Hello Hiccup, it's good to see you again." She said.
