Chapter 4:You're Too Young
"You coming?"Kira asked, making her way down the stairs, already dressed and ready to go.
I followed her down, still in my blue and black plaid pajama pants and a thin white shirt. "For what?"
"To get Nevada, and then hang out at the mall until it's time for Parker's volleyball game,"she replied, taking a small bite out of a Macintosh apple.
"Sure, let me get changed first,"I said, walking up the stairs quickly; Kira was very inpatient and I definitely didn't want to make her mad, she had a mean right hook and wasn't afraid of using it. Even when she had a broken ankle.
I showered for about five minutes, stepped out and changed into khaki shorts, a Superman muscle shirt Kira got me for my birthday, and black slip-on Vans.
I clomped my way back downstairs, after brushing out my black hair and spraying on some axe body spray. Kira was already half-way out the door when I grabbed a pear and rushed after her.
"Thanks for waiting for me,"I said sarcastically, climbing into the passenger seat of Kira's red BMW i8 2015. It was a Christmas gift from our parents. My Maserati was a birthday gift.
"Your welcome,"Kira said, smiling perkily, oblivious to my sarcasm.
"Just drive,"I sighed, pulling out my phone and blasting one of my playlists from Spotify. Kira laughed aimlessly but pulled out of the driveway, speeding down the freeway.
Kira stopped the car in front of Cassidy's house. I got out before Kira, wanting to beat her to the door. When I got there, she was already knocking on the door. Guess my plan failed.
A lady that looked to be in her late 40's answered the door,"Are you here to get Nevada?"
"Yes ma'am,"I responded politely. I'm guessing this lady was Cassidy's aunt. Parker told me that Cassidy lives with her because her parents travel a lot.
"One second honey,"she smiled, going back inside the house. Over her shoulder she yelled,"Come on in. Make yourselves at home."
Kira stepped inside followed by me. She sat on a frayed orange armchair, crossing her thin legs, making her flowery white sundress rise up a little. "Pull your dress down,"I hissed, my brotherly instincts taking over.
"I'm fine,"she spat. She hates it when I tell her what to do so I try not to do it to much but sometimes its hard because sometimes she doesn't behave very well.
"Sorry,"I apologized, taking a seat on a old white armchair similar to the one Kira was sitting on. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my Instagram, texting my best friend Lewis.
Nevada walked out, Cassidy's aunt's hand on her back; guiding her to us. Nevada had headphones on and from the sounds radiating from the IPad Air in her small hand, she was listening to some kids show that taught you about shapes.
"Hey, Nevada,"Kira cooed, standing up from the chair. She discreetly pulled her dress down, thinking I couldn't see her doing it.
Nevada held out her arms and ran forward, letting the silver IPad in her hands drop onto the hardwood floor; making the screen crack, a hundred little lines-probably not even an inch deep- run all over it. The screen pretty much looked like a spider had spun their web across the screen.
"Nevada,"Kira scolded.
"Sworry,"Nevada pouted, hugging Kira.
"We have to get going,"I said, putting my phone away. I slowly got up, my leg still hurting from the party a few nights ago, when Brianne knocked it against one of the nightstand tables while we were- wait; you probably don't want to know.
