**DISCLAIMER: NOTHING in this story is real; it is all ficticious. this chapter has lots of good old man vs man sex so if you're not into that kind of thing, beware. also, this story in no way promotes unprotected sex, they just didn't**

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Lying here on the cold floor, memories of Pete hit me like waves do a ship on a stormy night.

Nostalgia is a funny thing: making us pine for the past we can never relive or get back. Making us hang onto the memories we should have forgotten long ago and reopening old wounds we thought had healed. Happy thoughts woven with longings for the past. Reminders that we always carry extra baggage.

Visions of firsts come rushing into mind.

The first time we met, questioning each other through eye contact, and then hitting it off immediately.

The first time we sat down to write lyrics, feeling on par with the way the words flowed onto the page.

The first time we shared our deepest secrets, admitting everything and anything to one another.

The first time Pete came to me looking for comfort, crying on my shoulder.

The first show we played.

The first day on hiatus.

The first day off hiatus.

Our first kiss, laced in confusion and experimentation, Pete drugged, saying he loved me.

The first time we exchanged blowjobs; me lacking in knowledge but somehow managing to get Pete off.

The first time we had sex. Mind blowing, pleasure hitting, hot and sweaty sex.

And I lose myself in the swirling reveries of that first night, of that first time.

TWO WEEKS EARLIER ((flashback))

"Come on, Trick!" Pete coos, pulling me by my arm out of the bus like an overexcited kid running downstairs on Christmas morning.

"Hey, calm down!" I joke, yanking him back towards me.

I pull him close and tilt my head up towards his, grin widening on my lips. He looks down into my eyes with compassion before crashing his lips into mine, passionately. But quickly, Pete's kiss of love becomes hungry. Demanding.

I pull back with a sloppy smack, smile toying on my lips.

"Slow down there, tiger," I mock, still holding him close to me.

"Well then let's go!" Pete squeals, grabbing my hand once more and pulling me into the hotel.

We stop at the front desk to check in, Pete drumming impatiently his fingers on the desk.

We get our key and take the elevator up to our floor. Pete bounces slightly, fingers still tightly interwoven with my own.

I wonder what he has planned for our tonight. He packed a small backpack when we learnt this morning that we were going to be in a hotel for the night. I guessed it was just a change of clothes, but with Pete, I never really know.
