17: As The Race Comes To An End..

"Well.. It looks like we did it.. And we actually did a lot more than I thought." Dave wrapped his arm around me, looking to Rose and Kanaya who were chatting the night away.

"Mhm. Who knew that we could do this?" I smiled.

After confrontations to Kanaya and Rose, word got out about what really happened even faster. People began protesting and eventually, the girls decided it was time to stop.
Rose closed hers, and Kanaya closed ours. They're also seeing each other to create something bigger and better; still around the video game business. It's the business we all talked about together.

Today was the goodbye ceremony for both companies. We planned to have it together and end all the dispute once as for good.

Suddenly, Rose and Kanaya's voice boomed through the microphone on stage.
"Could I have everyone attention please?" Rose smiled. She looked to Kanaya who took her place from there.

"Now, As You All Know, Our Companies Have Been At What Some Would Say.. 'War' For Quite Some Time.. Due To Recent Events.. We Have Both Shut Down Sburb And Sgrub. Miss Lalonde And I Have Actually Been Discussing In Making Something Better Than Both Businesses Combined. We Know All Of You Are Currently out Of Jobs, And We Are So Sorry For Lying To You All.. So We Warmly Welcome You To Keep Working As What You Normally Did, But For The Company Still Yet To Be Named! We Will Keep No Secrets From You!"
Everyone broke into applause.

Rose spoke, "Not only will this benefit us all, but the dispute between humans and trolls, of who is better, is finally over. We are no better than the person near you. We're all the same, except some of us don't have grey skin and horns.."
Everyone laughed.
"If you'd like to re-employ, just simply email or call us, and we'll happily send you an application form. Please enjoy the rest of your night, and we hope to see your faces soon."

Everyone clapped for them as they walked off stage. They walked towards us.

"You two did great up there. I think they'll reapply." Dave gave them a thumbs up, pulling me closer to him.
He smelled like Apple Cinnamon and my eyes fluttered closed from the scent. It was amazing. I sighed happily, enjoying it as I nuzzled his chest.

"Thank you David." Rose smiled. "If we become a big success again, we really must thank the two of you.."

"Rose Is Right." Kanaya nodded, "We Really Do Thank You For The Suggestion Of Working Together. For The Past Few Weeks, I Realized That We Really Do Make A Great Team As You Said. You Two Were Right."

"Of course we were!" My eyes opened, "When haven't I been right?!"

"The time when you thought my shoe size was a five." Dave chuckled and kissed my forehead. "It's okay. Most of the time you're right."

"Hey!" I shoved him, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Aw! So cute!!" Nepeta tackled me.
"GAH! GET OFF, LEIJON!!!"

"No way! You ad Dave are soooooo cute together! I'm so happy you two are back together! You make a great couple! Definitely top ship on my shipping wall!" Nepeta hugged my head, and it was hard to breathe.
