Classes weren't as boring as I expected. Besides my stomach growling during Astronomy...everything went pretty well. I walk to my locker to retrieve my Math book, so I can meet Kendall and Niall for lunch. I don't talk to a lot of people at Mills High...I tend to stay to myself. A hand slams my locker, bringing me back to reality. "What the hell?" I turn to see...him. The tall, slender, hazel eyed figure standing before me. He moves his honey blonde curly hair from his face before asking, "Miss me?" with his breathtaking smirk. Although he is drop-dead gorgeous...I want to drop dead when I see him. I turn on my heels to walk away, but his swift speed stops me in my tracks.

"What's the rush?" he asks. "Aspen. Please move." I state coldly. "Aw babe, we're going to be like that?" I can't believe I dated this guy. I don't know what attracted me to him. Maybe his smile...the way it lit up any room...or his charm...his eyes...snap out of it Brie. "I need to meet Niall and Kendall for lunch." I retort. "You need me for lunch." he eggs on, flashing that appealing smile. "Ugh. Goodbye." I snap with disgust, walking around him. I'm lucky he didn't follow me...this time.  Kendall can see the aggravation on my face as I sit beside her. "Hey girl...you okay?" she asks. "Do I look okay?" I reply harshly. "You look like you're about to eat lunch alone with that attitude." she retorts. "Sorry....sorry. I ran into Aspen. Well...his hand ran into my locker." I explain. "Aspen?! I thought he moved..." she sounds surprised. "Um, I guess he came back." I answer quickly. I don't want to talk about this longer than necessary. "Where's Niall?" I ask. "Oh, Emily invited him to get lunch off of the property. Soooo, he won't be here until Math." she replies. "Oh.." I say quietly. Why do I care where he is? He's a big boy. He can do what he wants.

I say my goodbyes to Kendall as we go our seperate ways and I head to Math. I'm earlier than I anticipated. I'd usually walk with Niall to class and we'd get here right before the bell. Oh well. I take out my books and go to check my phone as my thoughts are interrupted by the giggling of a girl, and the contagious laughter of a boy in the halls. I look up to see Niall and Emily standing outside the door. Emily untwines her arm from around Niall's, and whispers something in his ear, causing him to raise his eyebrow and smile as she walks off. Emily is known around the school for more than her charm. The green eyed girl is probably flipping her long black hair as she's walking. I block the thoughts of what she could have said, and immediately look down at my phone. Niall walks in flashing a smile at Ms. Bert and placing his stuff at the desk to the right of me. I eye him as he walks around the room making small talk with people he doesn't even talk to. "What's going on?" He sits at his desk, and starts writing in his "Bama Book." He loves Barack Obama. I chuckle silently to myself.

He hasn't spoken yet, and it's already been an hour into class. "Whatever." I think to myself. I check my phone to see that it's 3:10 and I have 3 text messages. One from my mom saying she'll be out all day, second from Kendall who wants to know if I'm coming over after school, and third from...what who is this? "Still shy I see. I can fix that...I will fix that." I read it over and over until 3:15 hits. "Who is this?" The final bell rings and I'm snapped out of my daze. I look over to Niall's desk, which is now empty. And I'm one of the few left in the classroom. "Damnit." I say quietly as I grab my stuff and run out the class room. I call Kendall hoping she's still outside, and I can catch a ride.

I hang up the phone as I see her curly hair from across the parking lot, and sigh in relief. I pass Niall's Chevy too. I still don't know why he practically ditched us at lunch, and ignored me the entire class period. Not to mention leave me behind after class. I push the feeling of aggravation aside, and continue walking toward Kendall. I walk up close enough to hear her on the phone. She's facing the opposite direction playing in her hair. "Look. Don't start bothering her, because it's the last thing we both need." she says sternly. "What you did was wrong, and you better stay away from her." she adds."I didn't want any part of that. I never did." she snaps, hanging up the phone. "Who was that?" I think silently. I tap her car, startling her. "Damnit Brie!" she shrieks. "Sorry. Who was that?" I may be nosey, but she's my best friend. I have that right. "No one important." she replies. I go to ask something else, but she cuts me off. "Micah had to leave early for a doctor's appointment. So my Aunt and Uncle dropped my car off for me. You can come over if you want." she explains, answering my question. "Oh okay, that'll be cool." I reply and get into the car. I can't wait to get my own freaking car. I sigh at the thought.

The day hasn't been that bad. Although I saw Aspen...the day went by quickly. As Kendall backs out of her parking spot, I see Niall and Emily walking arm-in-arm to his car. The image makes me sick to my stomach. "Actually..." I begin turning from that awful sight. "...I think I need to go home. I'm not feeling too well." I state. Kendall turns toward me. "You okay?" she asks. "Cramps." I lie. "Ohhhh. Aunt flo is a bitch. I'll take you home girl." she says reassuringly. I manage to form a smile and lay my head on the window and fall asleep.

"Brielle, we're here." Kendall says quietly, tapping my shoulder. "Thanks. I'll text you later." I reply as I grab my book bag and phone. "Feel better" she adds before driving off. I start walking to the door and notice a car in the driveway. Mom said she'd be out...and that's not even her car. I see the UGA bumper sticker and my stomach drops. Shit. She can't be here. I get to the front door and fumble through my book bag for my tie dye lanyard with my house key on it. I can't find it anywhere. The key hidden behind the porch light is gone. "Great." I try to turn the knob and luckily it's unlocked.

I'm already annoyed with the image of Niall and Emily replaying through my mind like a Tumblr GIF, and I just want to find my keys and lay down. "Brielle?" a voice calls from the living room. "Keep walking, keep walking, don't stop. You can make it up the stairs." I think encouragingly."Brielle!" The voice says, this time with more excitement. Why me? I turn around to see the face of Camryn. My perfect, light brown eyed, fluffy haired sister. She runs to give me hug, and I dodge it. "What?" I ask in annoyance. The hurt is visible in her face, but she replaces it with a smile. "I let myself in! I'm visiting for the week!" she squeals. It wasn't hard keeping the exitement off of my face. I reply with a thumbs up and make my way up the stairs. After what she did to me last year, she should be happy my book bag didn't greet her face. I sigh at the realization that I know I could never hurt my sister. Despite what she did.
