It Happened (Niall Horan Fan Fic)

Chapter 2

I look out the window as Niall pulls out of the driveway, making our way toward school. There's no way we'll get there on time. I feel someone's eyes on me, and I turn to see Niall's gaze meeting mine. His blue eyes are piercingly gorgeous. I never noticed how handsome he was. "You okay?" he asks, breaking me from my thoughts. "Never better." I reply with a sigh. "I know you don't want to be late, but maybe next time you won't take a swim in the shower." he replies, making me laugh. "That's not even possible" I respond, turning up the radio. 

Viva La Vida starts to play, which is Niall's favorite song. "Turn it up!!" he yells. I do as told, and he beats the steering wheel like it's a set of drums. "Sing with me!" he says not missing a beat of the song. "Noooo thank you." I say, seeing that the time is now 8:15. "Pleaseee?" he whines. "Don't make me beg." he winks playfully. "Okay, okay fine" I laugh. We sing the song to completion as we approach our high school. I don't even mind that it's 8:30. Niall managed to get me in a better mood, so it's not a big deal anymore. He gets out the car, grabbing my book bag and opening my car door. "Thanks." I say softly. He gives me my bag, and we make start making our way into the building. We see all the students outside standing in the grass as we walk across the parking lot. "What's going on?" I think aloud. "I don't know. I'll see what's up." he replies, walking over to some random kid. "Fire drill!" he yells back to me. I nod in reply. "I'm gonna go find Kendall! I'll see you at lunch." I tell him. "Okay, later." he replies, walking to his group of friends.

As I'm walking, I'm looking around for our class outside. Hopefully I can blend in class without being noticed. A fifth tardy is the last thing I need. "BRIELLE!! OVER HERE!" I hear the familiar voice scream. I turn around to see the bright smiled, curly haired, brown eyed Kendall waving me over. Her outfit is cute as always. With her white graphic tee, denim jacket rolled up at the sleeves, skinny's and white converses, she runs to meet me halfway. "Hey Sunshine!" she says giving me a hug. "Hey Ken." I reply. "What happened anyway?" I ask. "Some freshman pulled the fire alarm." she sighs. "At least we got out of class" she adds. "I text you this morning! Micah decided to pick me up, so I couldn't take you to school." she explains. Micah and Kendall have been dating since sophomore year. His gray eyes and black hair attract nearly every girl in school. Including myself. Not to mention his bright smile, and 6'2 toned figure. "It's fine. Niall came and got me." She had this big grin on her face. "What?" I asked "Oh nothingggg, Nielle." she sings. "Oh my gosh. Don't call me that." I groan. "You guys are cute, Brie! Accept it and move on with life." she says. "We're best friend's. And my name is Brielle, not Nielle." I retort. 

"Who put sandpaper on your toilet seat this morning..." she replies. I can't help but laugh at her corny comeback. I love this girl. "Come on let's go." I say and drag her back to our group.
