"No, no, no." is all I can manage to say. "Huh?" he asks confused. My mom walks outside to check the mail, and immediately spots me in the car with Aspen. She starts to head our way as he parks the car. Aspen steps out and walks over to the passenger side and opens my door. He's only doing that because my mom is here. "Thanks." I mutter. He winks in reply.

"You're out of school early!" she says to me with excitement. She turns to look at the tall figure beside me in shock. "Aspen?" she asks. "Yes, it's me." he says laughing and wrapping her in his arms. "I've missed you guys!" he adds stepping back beside me. "It's been so long since you've been here!" she beamed. "Yeah, I moved back here from Michigan to live with my mom." he explains. "It's good to be back." he adds. "Well you're welcomed here anytime! Don't forget that. You're family. It's just sad the move broke you two apart." she says gestering towards me. I wonder what she would think if she really knew what happened. "Come on in the house you two!" she says smiling. She must be really happy he's back.

We walk into the house and head into the kitchen. It's apparent mom is cooking, from the smell of a great homecooked meal being prepared. Aspen is making conversation with my mom, telling her about his year in Michigan and how different it was living there. I tune out, because I'm not interested.

"Camryn, honey! Look who's here!" my mom says, and I tune back in to reality. Aspen and I both turn to look at Camryn. She looks...different. I mean, I haven't seen her in two days but something about her is different. She's in sweats, a hoodie and Sperry's. I haven't seen her in sweats since I was in elementary school. She cares so much about her appearance. She looks like she's been crying a lot, and she has no make-up on. "You still feeling under the weather?" my mom asks concerned. She nods in agreement to her question, not saying a word. She spots Aspen, and whatever color she had in her cheeks leave entirely. I can see Aspen's expression, is almost the same. Mom walks over to wrap her arms around Camryn's shoulders. "Aspen came to visit." she says smiling. "I'll make you some tea." my mom says walking to stove, but her phone starts to ring from upstairs abruptly. "Ugh. It's probably the doctor. I'll be right back! Aspen, make yourself at home." she says rushing up the stairs. She went to the doctor? I know we got into a fight...but that's pretty serious.

I look from Camryn to Aspen, not sure what to say. I'm not angry...but the hurt is returning from that night. The night I watched my sister and boyfriend share something so intimate and special in a video, that went viral on Facebook. This silence is too much. Aspen looks like he's seen a ghost, Camryn looks like a ghost, and I'm just sitting here. "So." I say outloud. The two look at me quickly, as if I startled them. "Uh...I just..." Aspen trails off. "Look...what happened was...terrible. It killed me. It changed me. Although we never talked about it Aspen...I honestly hate you for what you did to me. And it changed my relationship with my sister. Plus, you ruined her life and didn't even make an effort to apologize. I know you've moved back here and you're trying to come into my life..but if you came back with the intentions to hurt me again, then you need to get out of it." I state boldly. Camryn looks at me as if she's surprised I didn't say I hated her for what happened too. "Camryn...you're my sister. I couldn't hate you...and I'm sorry for the other night." I add lowly. I look up to see Camryn coming my way, and she wraps her arms around me crying. "I'm so sorry" she sobs. Aspen looks at her sympathetically, and then looks toward me.

I hug her back and she gets up rubbing her eyes and forming a small smile. I think we can finally move forward now. I know I was hurt in the process, but the consequences came at her full force. I can't imagine what she went through. Aspen gets up and heads for the door.

"Hold on, Cam." I say walking past her. Does he really have nothing to say? He walks outside, not saying a word, fumbling for his keys as he drops them to the ground. "Fuck!" he says harshly. "Aspen!" I call after him. He ignores me and keeps walking to his car. I run up to him and turn him to face me. "What?" he asks in aggravation. The look on his face kills me. It is full of guilt and hurt. "Aspen, look-" I start. "No Brie. I fucked up. I really fucked up. I ruined Camryn, and you...oh my god..you. I loved you so much, I still do. It's just...I really don't know how to say what I'm trying to say. I'm sorry. I know I need to apologize to Camryn, and I will. When? I don't know, but I will.  Please forgive me." his voice shakes.

 I'm speechless.

He's never said this much to me at one time before. He's never poured out his entire emotions...I can't breathe. He still loves me? My thoughts are interrupted when he grabs me into his arms. He's hugging me so tight I'm struggling to breathe...literally. When he sets me back down on the ground, he looks into my eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm gonna go now, but I'll see you at school." I nod in agreement. So much is happening right now.

I walk over to the front steps and sit down as he drives off. I need to think.Think about all that's managed to happen in my life over the past few days. It's been crazy.

"Honey, we're going to go pick up Camryn's prescription from the store, okay? I'll call when we're on the way back." my mom says as she walks down the steps passing me. "Don't worry, I just have a stomach virus." Camryn reassures me as she follows my mom. I smile at her, and she smiles back, bigger than she was before. "Be safe!" I yell to them. Mom waves as she backs out of the driveway, zooming down the street. She said she would call...where is my phone? I feel around to find it in my dress pocket. I haven't checked it since school let out.

5 new messages.

From who? I anxiously unlock my phone to see who it could be. Probably from Kendall, wanting to talk. I'm really not up to it right now.

My heart flutters as I see Niall's name pop up on my screen.

3:15 P.M.: *Brie? Are you still at school?*

3:25 P.M.:*Brie, I'm really sorry for today. Really, I am.*

3:28 P.M.:*Talk to me, please. :( *

3:40 P.M: *Brie?*

4:15 P.M.:*I'm coming over.*

He's coming over? Oh god. What time is it? It's 4:25. I run inside and dart upstairs. I look at myself in the mirror. My hair looks messier than it did this morning, so I rush into the bathroom to brush it down. I part it to the right and mess with it until I'm satisfied. I brush my teeth again, and apply a quick coat of lipgloss. I still have the dress on from school earlier. I run back into my room, kick off my shoes and look threw my drawers to find a cute floral v-neck and a pair of denim jeans. I quickly scan my closest, finally throwing on a black pair of vans. Perfect.

Did I really just change for Niall? Of course I did. Wait...whatever, I don't have to think about this. I check my phone to see that it's 4:40 now. I steady my breathing, and head downstairs. Something stops me in my tracks as I reach the bottom of the stairs. My heart stops.

Niall's piercing blue eyes are staring into mine, as he stands at the bottom of the steps, waiting for me.
