Ten years ago...

"Mommy!" I screamed in pain as I ran forward to see her limp body laying lifeless on the floor.

"Mommy! Please wake up! Please don't leave me! Mommy please." I screamed and cried over my mothers body not wanting to ever let go.

"Ally we need to go honey." I heard my father say in a hushed tone.

I knew exactly what was going on outside of my house; what was going on in the small village that housed my tribe. The wolves of the closest pack were attacking and they knew all about who was in our tribe. The wolves knew that no human would be in the village that night and that's when they attacked and shed so much blood.

"Daddy we can't leave mommy here! We can't! We just can't daddy." I cried, still hugging my mothers lifeless body.

"Ally, we need to go, Wyatt is awaiting for us and so are the elders. We have to keep you safe honey, we need to go before the wolves get past the magic barrier." My father said frantically.

I didn't want to leave my mother behind, even though I knew she was long past saving, I thought that maybe someone in our tribe would have enough power to bring her back. I knew that wasn't possible though. My mother had told me, just days before that I was the most powerful witch to be born in a long time and that the last one was killed by an Alpha at just sixteen years old. I told her, no, I promised her that I would be safe and not let any wolf near me.

In all honesty my mother taught me a lot about who I am and what I'm meant to do with my life. She told me of the powers I will get that will be handed down form my family ancestors. There are a list of powers that my mother told me I would get within time and at the age of five I had already started to gain some powers. They were small but they were there.

Everyone in the tribe thought I resembled my mother and grandmother the most. I took that in great pride as my mother was amazing with her magic and my grandmother was amazing with her potions.

I had hoped that one day they would teach me everything they knew but my grandmother passed from a cancer tumour in her brain that no one knew was there. She just went to bed and never woke up. I was the one to find her that morning. Her skin was as cold as ice and her body was as stiff as a board. I screamed for my daddy but my older brother came running. When he saw what was before us we both broke down crying. That was a day I wish I could forget. And now, here is another day that I wish would become a lost memory...

"Daddy, where's Wyatt?" I asked as I stood up away from my mothers body.

"He's at the cabin with the rest of the tribe that managed to escape." He answered.

The tribe I lived in was fairly big if you compared it to a wolf pack. There are far more witches out there in the world than werewolves but we like to keep under wraps most of the time. Sometimes we will attack packs but it's in our nature to want to kill werewolves. They were spawned from hell, or at least that's what my daddy and grand-daddy told me.

In our tribe we had about 500 witches. With every attack though, the number kept getting smaller. We would join forces with more tribes to become stronger but the wolves would always pick us off one by one and everyone knew who they were after. Every magic type being knew the prophecy and they knew what would be done, or at least they thought they knew.

Every creature had a different thought. Some thought that the great big magical witch would bring death and murder; others thought that she would bring prosperity and life. No one knew for sure, all most people knew was that the witch was young and vulnerable at this point in her life and they knew she held great power inside her that would soon be released.

"Alyssa, we have to go now! The shield is down around the house and they will be coming as soon as they know there are still live witches here." My father said with worry evident in her voice.

I heard a bang and I screamed at the top of my lungs. My father grabbed me and pushed me behind him for protection and I just looked over his arm as the wolves busted in the house, both in wolf form and human form.

"Daddy!" I whispered.

"It's okay pumpkin, just stay behind me." He whispered back.

"Daddy I'm scared." I said.

I looked at the wolves who were in human form and studied the symbol that's printed on their upper arms. The crest of their pack. I needed to know the pack if I was going to get them back for killing my mother.

"Alyssa, remember that spell that mommy taught you a few days ago?" Daddy said.

I nodded my head slightly.

"Say it pumpkin." He urged.

I took in a deep breath and started the chant.

"From here to there, from there to here, take us to my brother dear, to my sacred family, now and for right now to be."

As I finished the chant, my father and I were whisked away to the cabin where, when I opened my eyes I saw my bother rushing over to be.

"Oh thank god Ally, you're okay!" He said picking me up.

Wyatt is five years older than me and at eleven years old his magic has started to develop. He always had my back and wouldn't let anyone bully me. The other kids in the tribe know who I am, what I am. They know not to mess with me.

"Where's mom?" Wyatt asked as he looked up at dad.

Dad looked down at his feet and I started to cry.

"No." Wyatt whined.

"I couldn't save her Wy, I tried but I couldn't!" I cried and hugged him.

That wolf pack that killed my mother will pay for killing my mother and for killing others in my tribe.

The Alpha that ordered the attack on my tribe will die for what he has done, he will die for causing so much death. He will die at my hands, one way or another.
