A Witch's Mate

Chapter six

"Where am I?" I mutter to myself.

I feel dull pain moving through my body; I wonder if who ever but me in this room put some meds in my system to help with the pain.

From what I see I don't see anyone in the room. Hopefully it stays that way.

I don't remember much of the days leading up to this point. I can smell wolf and I remember some how I ended up in a cell in a wolf pack. I remember what two of the pack members did to be before I blacked out and I remember my encounter with my loved ones and the moon goddess after I blamed out. I remember her mentioning an Alpha named Zander but I don't think I've ever met him. Who's to say he won't be like the other two in his pack and try to rape me too? I know I'm down powers, plus I'm much too weak to use any of them properly.

I hear the door start to move open and I close my eyes again and keep as still as I can. I don't want anyone to know that I'm awake. As the door continues to open an amazing scent invades my nose. I think I've smelt it once before...maybe I have met Zander...

"See Zander, I told you she wouldn't be awake. She's gone through a lot and her body isn't ready to face the pain and the remembering of what happened to her." A feminine voice says quietly, just loud enough for me to hear.

"I can't believe we still haven't found out who did this to her. I'm her mate! I'm suppose to be able to protect her and instead I let her get raped! As soon as I find out which wolf did this to her, I'm going to kill him for hurting his future Luna." A masculine voice, I'm assuming Zander's, half shouts.

"Calm down Zander, you don't need to raise your voice. I get that you're an alpha and that she's your mate but right now, I need you to stay calm for her sake." She says hopefully.

"You're right but I need her to be okay. She's the packs Luna and the pack can't live without a Luna." Zander says.

"What did dad say about your mate being a witch?" The girl asks.

"I haven't exactly told him yet. You know how much he hates them especially after last year." He says.

"I know and it's been hard ok all of us, she wasn't only my Luna Zander, she was my mom, as well as yours. But I mean really, if what I heard is true the boy killed her because our father killed his mother. An eye for an eye I guess is what he was thinking." She sighs.

"Still!" Zander roars.

"Okay, Zander, get out. I know she's your mate but if she wakes up to you like this than she will reject you. Go, get your wolf under control." The girl says angrily.

I hear a grunt and stomping as Zander leaves the room.

"He's gone, you can wake up now." She says and I can hear her getting closer to me.

"How could you tell?" I whispered as I opened my eyes to look at her.

"You're in a different position than earlier this morning. Generally people in comas don't move." She tells me.

"How long was I out?" I mumble.

"It's been a week." She says.

"A week!" I half shout, half cough.

"Yeah, Zander and his wolf have been really on edge. You are, after all, his mate and alphas can't stand to see their mates hurt. He's been trying to find the person who um....raped you, but he hasn't had much luck." She says.

"By the way, my name's Alyssa." I smile at her.

"Kendall. I'm Zander's sister." She smiles back.

"There's one thing I really need to know, why did your brother have me kidnapped?" I question.

"He had you what?!" She screams.

She didn't know?
