Although I'm shocked by this realization, I continue to walk Chelsea towards the mob of girls.

When we get there, most of the girls have gone away. The bodyguard is telling all the girls that they can't stay.

"I'm sorry, but my client Mr Simpson is unavailable right now," he says gently. The rest of the girls walk away, but Chelsea and I stand our ground. The bodyguard glares at us.

"What?" He asks grumpily. He's scary in a way that bodyguards are. He's quite tall and has a strong build. He has a dark skin tone and is wearing dark sunglasses that completely hide his eyes and a black suit with a black tie. That should be enough to scare Chelsea and I away, but it's not.

I start the sweet talking. "I'm sorry to bother you, sir, but my friend here is a really big fan of Cody." I gesture to Chelsea, who smiles uncertainly at him.

"If she's such a big fan, then why isn't she screaming?" Clearly this bodyguard has never dealt with a situation like this.

I try to reply, but Chelsea cuts in. "I respect the fact that Cody would like some privacy and time to himself, I really do. However, I've been told that opportunities like this only come once in a lifetime," Chelsea looks over to me as she says this "and I can't just throw it away."

We stand there, right in front of this creepy bodyguard, silently hoping that he'll let us through. I cross my fingers behind my back. I'm not thinking of myself here, but Chelsea: my best friend. I know how much she wants this.

The bodyguard considers this before opening his mouth. "Okay," he says. Chelsea and I try our best to hide our excitement.

The bodyguard steps aside and lets us past. We take a couple of steps towards Cody, who's drying himself with a beach towel. Just seeing him makes me shiver in excitement. Have I got a crush?

"Cody?" Chelsea asks. He looks over to her. I look at Chelsea's face. I can tell that it's hard for her to contain her excitement.

"Yes?" He says politely.

"I'm really sorry to be bothering you, I really did try not to, but it's kind of hard to resist the possibility that the opportunity to meet you may only come once in a lifetime."

Cody stares at her for a short moment before replying. "I see." He spreads his towel out over the sand and sits down on it. He gestures for Chelsea to sit down. Clearly he hasn't noticed me yet.

Chelsea sits down and I follow. Cody waits until we've settled before he continues talking. "What's your name?" He asks Chelsea.

"Chelsea," she says without stuttering like I thought she would.

Up to this moment, I hadn't caught Cody's eye. I'm hoping that I won't have to, and i stare down at the towel, admiring the beachy pattern. That changes when Cody asks Chelsea another question.

"And who's this, Chelsea?" I don't have a big hope now - I have to look up. Just my luck when I look up into those aqua-hazel eyes of his. It's mesmerizing, and I can't help but stare. I look into Cody's eyes for what feels like forever, but it's really only two seconds when Chelsea nudges me. I sit up straight as I re-enter the real world. "J-Jess," I manage to get out. I don't even have to look at Chelsea to know that she's trying to suppress both a laugh and grin. I glare at her and she coughs it down.

"I really like your eyes, Jess," Cody says, which isn't very surprising seeing as I get that comment a lot. Apparently I've been known as a 'heartbreaker' because a lot of boys fall in love with my aqua-green eyes. When I first heard of that one I was quite surprised because I'd never had a boyfriend nor had I rejected a guy.

"Thanks," I say to Cody with a smile. He smiles back at me.

Chelsea obviously sees the connection and cuts in. "If it's okay with you, Cody, could I please get a picture?" She says it gently and calm, acting as if she never cut in in the first place.

"Sure," Cody replies. Chelsea moves over to his side and tosses me her camera. I catch it and turn it on as they settle into a comfortable pose.

"One, two, three!" I click the shutter on three and pass the camera back to Chelsea. She views the photo on the screen and shows Cody. I move over behind the two to have a look.

Chelsea looks as if its the happiest moment of her life. Cody looks quite happy too, though when I have a closer look at it, he looks almost sad, as if he's pretending to be happy.

"This is such a good picture," Chelsea says in her 'calm' voice. Cody laughs what sounds like a sick, fake laugh. Chelsea looks at him.

"Are you alright, Cody?" She asks, worried.

Cody smiles a toothy smile in return. "Sure. I'm alright, just a bit tired. Really do need a break." He laughs, but I'm not buying it.

"Well, at least you got that chance," Chelsea says. "We should probably get out of your way." Chelsea stands up and I follow. We start to walk away.

"Wait," Cody says after we take a couple of steps "Stay. We can go swimming."

Chelsea and I exchange a glance and take the two steps back his way as he stands up.

Cody brushes the sand of his board shorts and looks down at us.

"Race you to the water," he says and runs off.

"You little..." Chelsea doesn't finish her playful sentence before we take off after him.

*****

Okay, so I know that Jess's dream guy hasn't been brought up yet. First thing next chapter his name will be mentioned. You've probably all got your guess in on who he is.
