Skylar

After school, I went to a park close to my house to clear my head. I couldn't believe what all Kim said to me all because she wanted Hayes. My mind hurt from stressing and thinking so much. I'm meeting Hayes' parents tomorrow and that has me more nervous than anything else.

Large, warm hands grab my shoulders then cover my eyes, "guess who?"

I could tell his deep voice from anyone else's, "Chris, what are you doing here?"

"I was just walking by and seen you."

I couldn't help but watch him sit right beside me. He was gorgeous but I found myself comparing him to Hayes. He wasn't as good as Hayes.

"Why would you stop to talk to me?" I asked because he's never taken interest in me.

"I've always thought you were cute." He winks at me.

"You like Kim, not me." I scoot away from him.

"I was only with Kim to get close to you. She's nothing compared to you and I know you've been spending a lot of time with Hayes so I knew it was time to make my move. I've always liked you." He places his hand on my thigh.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The boy I've had a crush on since a kid was now confessing his liking for me. This can't be real.

"Chris, I would never hurt Kim."

"But she's hurt you. I know you've always liked me and your best friend stole her best friends crush. Everytime I'd talk to you, you'd freak out. We're perfect together."

"You only want me now because I like someone else." I stand to my feet and cross my arms. "Leave me alone, Chris."

"I'll see you at school." He kisses my cheek and walks away.

Today has been the most confusing day of my life.

Hayes

"Chad, Nash, Skylar is coming for dinner tomorrow. Act as if you don't know her." My mom demands.

"Has she told you about her memory loss, Hayes?" Nash asks.

"No, I suppose she doesn't tell many people. You don't think she'll remember you guys, do you?" I finally get the question off of my chest.

"She don't remember you." My mom answers, "but if she does remember us, we will deny anything. She cannot know."

"Does Skylar like you more than a friend?" My dad asks and I tense up.

Her father said to only be her friend but that's pretty difficult to do.

"I-"

My phone goes cazy in my pocket, "it's her dad. I'll be back."

"Hello, Randy." I mutter.

"Skylar has informed me that she is meeting your mom and dad. She smiles and blushes everytime she speaks of you. She likes you and I strictly told you no relations but it has come to my attention that I can't stop you two. Do you have feelings for my daughter as well?"

"I don't know." I lie.

"When the time comes for you to take her, she will be heart broken, she will belive you used her. I don't want my daughter to be hurt that bad. Please do not break her heart."

"Sir, I like her too." I blurt out, "She is trusting me more and more each day and I want her to trust me while you are gone, I will never break her heart. I didn't want to date her behind your back. I want your trust as well."

"Hayes, you and your family are the only people I can trust besides my Skylar. I will trust that you will not take advantage of her and you will keep her safe of anything. Most of all, I want her happy. When me and your family go away, I trust that you will only tell her what they have taught you, nothing more. You're a well behaved, trust worthy kid. Don't loose my trust. Goodbye."
