Chapter 1 The party

The roof was down in Beau's car, I looked down at my left hand and saw the engagement ring present on it! Beau was going to be my husband, I was going to be Mrs.Brooks!

"How's my wifey doing?"

Beau asked, it was still hard to believe I was going to be married, but I was happy!

"She is good, correction fiancé to be precise!"

He chuckled and held my hand as we drove to the supermarket. Tonight we was having an engagement party to celebrate Beau proposing to me! Everyone was going to be there, friends, family and even a few lucky fans who won tickets to be there! We needed to buy a few extra things and then we would have to head over to the hall to set up!

"So what do we need then?"

Beau asked me as he pushed the trolley around the aisles. 

"Well all we need to pick up is drink! Gina and mum are buying food, Luke and James are sorting out music and I don't know what the others are doing?"

We came to the drink aisle and had hundreds of options to choose from! We had to get a range of spirits, ciders, wines and beers so luckily I had Beau with me.

"How about for spirits we get 5 vodkas, 3 Whiskey's, a range of flavours of WKD's and some shots too!"

Wow he knew how to get a party started!

"Okay, now moving onto beers and ciders?"

"Right get Budweiser, Stella, Fosters and Becks for beers!"

I put some crates of the beers he had suggested in the trolley and crossed that off the list.

"Now ciders, hmm how about Strongbow, Magner's, Bulmers and Kopparburg?"

"Yeah sounds good to me, love how you picked out Magner's!"

"Best thing to drink!"

The last thing on the list was wine, I picked up 4 bottles of champagne, 3 bottles of red, white and rose wine! We went to the checkout and paid for the drinks coming to a total of $771.48! I shocked when I had to pay the bill, but it was all for a good cause.

When we turned up at the hall, Luke and James were setting up the DJ set, Gina and mum were setting out the tables of food, Ri and Lou were decorating the hall and Jai and Skip were looking after Lily and Daniel! We took the drink behind the bar and put some of it into the various fridges to keep cold. 

"How was shopping?"

Mum asked as I walked over and gave her a hug.

"EXPENSIVE!"

I said to her. She gave me a tray of food and gestured me to place it neatly on one of the tables! The food looked so good and there was a range of it! Mum and Gina must of been very busy in the kitchens today, I left mum my flat keys so that she could use the kitchen to help with the food. I went over to where Jai and Skip were and had a look at how my babies were doing. They were giggling away, Uncle Jai and Uncle Skip do know how to put a smile on their faces. I picked Lily and Daniel out of their chairs and snuggled the pair of them, Beau came and took Daniel off me leaving me with Lily. I cradled her in my arms and sat on the stage with my legs dangling over the edge. I looked around the hall and saw everyone setting up different stations, Lou and Ri came and sat next to me and started to play with Lily. I handed her to Lou and jumped off the stage and ran over to Beau who was helping Luke sort out the music.

"So what you boys upto?"

I ask as I peer over the Dj set.
