Chapter 25 The beginning of the end

Its been a week since we left for travelling, I've had so much fun with Beau, Megan and Jamie. We've travelled from Melbourne to Lake Entrance to Canberra and now we are in Sydney! Today has come round far to quick for my liking if I was completely honest, today was the beginning of my cancer treatment!

"So where abouts is the facility?"

Megan says looking down at the mug of coffee in front of her, she knew today was going to be hard on all of us not just me alone.

"Somewhere just outside the city!"

I say, I was frying up some eggs in pan on the hob, we were staying in a nice hostel while we was here. Doctors orders was that I don't drink alcohol or have any food because the treatment can cause me to throw up violently.

"Here you go guys Sunny-side eggs and toast!"

I place the plates in front of the three of them and watch them eat it. I don't know why I did because it seemed like torture and made me even more hungry than I wanted to be!

I left them to eat their food giving me a chance to get ready and sorted for today. I hop in the shower and wash my body, even if I did have a shower last night I did like to have a refreshing one in the morning; helped me wake up a bit more. I placed a towel around me and walked into the bedroom and locking the door so that no one could get in. I unzipped my suitcase and rummaged around the clothes to find an outfit for today, I settled for a purple Mystic designed dress with gladiator sandals. Something nice but simple at the same time, I didn't bother with make-up or doing something fancy with my hair because I was going to be in the unit for a couple days.

"Can I come in?"

A voice behind the door spoke, I unlocked the door and opened it slowly, peering my head out to see who it was. It was Megan!

"Sure!"

I say gesturing my hand to come in. She sat on the unmade bed and patted the spot next to her. I closed the door again and sat down next to her, crossing my legs.

"How you feeling?"

Megan says crossing her legs and facing me.

"I feel fine!"

"Fine's not an emotion though?"

"I'm scared Megan, I have this gut feeling its not going to work! I mean look at what I've been through I know its not going to work!"

As soon as I was finished she slapped me across the face.

"Don't ever think like that! You are going to pull through this because your a strong woman Hollie!"

"Thanks Megan! Your buying me food after the therapy today for hitting me!"

I poke my tongue out at her, I give her a hug and stay in her arms for a while! I was so lucky to have her here with me and as my bestest girl! Beau and Jamie walked in on us, we didn't separate from the hug, instead they wrapped their arms around us.

"This is a non gay moment!"

Beau says causing us to burst out laughing. We pulled away and laid down on the bed, and starred up at the ceiling.

"How long is the drive?"

Jamie asks breaking the silence that had fell upon us.

"About an hour, so we will have to leave in about 10 minutes to get their for my appointment!"

I say disappointed, I wanted time to go slower than it was going.

I checked my rucksack one last time making sure I had everything. I grabbed the keys off the side of the table and locked the door of the hostel. I unlocked the car for everyone to get in before me, I loaded my bag in the boot and hopped in the front. To my surprise I found Megan in the front instead of Beau!
