Baby I'm yours. And I'll be yours until the sun no longer shines. Yours, until the poets run out of rhymes. In other words, until the end of time. I'm gonna stay right here; by your side. Do my best to keep you satisfied. Nothing in this world can drive me away, 'cause every day you'll hear me say, "Baby I'm yours."~Barbara Lewis

When I was dropped off home, I was welcomed back by Bernice, Julian, Mom, and Hal. We sat around the dining room table sharing stories from my first vacation.

I told them all about it without thinking too much on what to say. I also ate two cupcakes and didn't worry about what would happen later, because right now life is good, and I want to embrace it.

When I was finished talking, it was Mom's turn to share, "While you were gone something pretty amazing happened over here. Now, I understand that this is going to sound crazy, but here goes nothing. Hal and I are getting married." She held up her left hand and showed me the ring around her finger.

"I know it's fast, and that we've only really known each other for a few months, but you have to trust me when I tell you that we're meant to be. I mean Hal is who I've been waiting for my whole life, and we just can't wait to start our life together. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this isn't the right thing to do. What do you think sweetie?" She asked me.

I began to cry, "I'm so happy for you!"

"Awe, honey!" She hugged me.

Wow, I can't believe it. My mom finally has someone in her life that she can cherish and love that will love her back just the same.

. . .

So, Mom, Ethan, and Bernice went out on a girls day to pick out dresses and just hang out. Which left Hal, Julian, and I to do the same, but instead with suits.

"What do you think boys? Light brown or black?"

They decided that they would like their wedding color to be lavender. I think that the bow tie would look better with the, "Brown."

"Yeah, I was going to say the same thing." Julian agreed.

"Alright, three brown suits please." Hal requested to the man fitting us.

I was chosen to be Hal's best man, and Julian had the honors of placing the rings on their fingers. So, we have to get fitted. Bernice and Ethan are also getting sized for their dresses today because they're going to be bridesmaids.

I think Ethan looks pretty nice in purple. It makes her stand out more than her normal color clothes.

The outfits were soon paid for and we were on our way to the next stop: the grocery store. That way we can pick up the wedding favors and home essentials. Hal lead the way as I was pushing the cart, and Julian was talking, "While you were gone we started pickle ball in gym. I can teach you if you want."

"Sure."

Ever since Julian and I met he's been teaching Ethan and I how to play sports, and choosing us to be on his team. His friends "beat on him" for it, but in reality they respect him and have been following in his mature footsteps.

"And guess what else happened when you were away."

I raised an eyebrow as in to say "what".

"Me and Bernice had lots of extra time to play around. You know what I'm sayin'?"

"Dude! Ew! That's my sister, man!"
