Maya POV: I set the note on her bedside table and then silently climb out the window. Once I get to the beach, I sit there for a little bit, thinking. So much has happened in the past few days. And now I have a sister. Kayla has always been like a sister to me, ever since we became friends, but now she's living with me. Though I'm not happy about the fact that she was abused and had to move out, I'm really happy she's living with me now, and I'm glad she's away from the abuse.
I look around, and realize our sandcastle is still there. I smile and go inside, and see a bucket. I go up to it and realize it's infinity the turtle, and there's a note taped to it:
'Maya, when I went to get my stuff and leave, I realized you forgot about Infinity. I refilled the bucket with sand and water and put some fruit in it.'
I smile at the note. Derek is so sweet and considerate. I decide to draw something happy in the sand. I leave the castle and go to a spot where the tide will wash it away. I draw a bunch of butterflies. I like butterflies a lot. When I'm done I snap a picture with my phone so I can look back at it when I'm sad. I go back into the castle, grab Infinity's bucket, and head home.
Authors note:
I'm sorry if its short. I wrote it on my phone, and I'm gonna update again later today :)
