Kayla POV:
I just got to the beach and I can see Mackenzie with some other girls spinning and tossing flags and what looks like guns and swords. She sees me and waves me over. I walk up to her and she introduces me to everyone .
M: “Hi Kayla so these are some of the girls on guard. This is Catherine…”
She pointed to a girl with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, who is spinning a gun absentmindedly.
C: “Hi Kayla”
She waves at me while still spinning the rifle, and then tosses it into the air, making it look effortless.
A: “hi, I’m Alyssa!”
A girl jumps up next to Mackenzie while waving at me. Okay well she's a hyper one. I giggle and say “hi Alyssa.” She has curly dirty blonde hair and brown eyes, and she looks that average size, which is bigger than most of the other gets here. When she turns around, though, I notice that she has a big butt.
M: “and that's Natalie and Emma”
Mackenzie points to two girls who are walking up to us. The one that I'm guessing is Natalie is kinda short and really skinny and has really pretty tan skin, and black hair and brown eyes. The other one is about the same height is Natalie and about average weight. She has brown hair and blue eyes
M: “They’re new, too, so they're going to be learning with you.”
They walk up to us and say hi to Mackenzie
M: “Hi this is Kayla she's going to be learning with you”
Natalie and Emma say hi Kayla at the same time then burst out laughing. Mackenzie goes and grabs four flags from the pile and gives onto each of us and keeps one for herself. She teaches us a bunch of stuff, and by 2 o'clock we could all do dropspins in both directions, pop tosses, the cone exercise, singles, and one-and-a-halfs, and she had taught us doubles and cone tosses, but none of us could do them right yet. Cone tosses are scary and I'm afraid that I'll hit my head. I told Mackenzie that and she just laughed and said “you probably will a few times at least this season it doesn't really hurt too bad and you'll get used to it. After about an hour of flag Mackenzie suggested that we go to grassier area and work on movement. We all go to a grassy patch and Mackenzie, Alyssa, and Catherine teach us how to do some dance stuff. They were impressed and said I was a natural. They gave me a piece of paper with the tryout information and we all exchange phone numbers.
