Chapter 8

Rosa's POV:

I froze when the camera flash went off. Who just took our picture? I turned around slowly to see who it was, but it was so dark I couldn't see anything. All I could see what the silhouette of a girl behind the edge of the roof. I stayed quiet when the turtles started whispering to each other who the person was. Suddenly Raph said, "I got this." Even hearing his voice makes me shiver and blush. He pulled out a chain and before any of us could stop him, he threw the chain at the girl and pulled her over the edge with it.

The girl groaned when she landed on the hard ground. That's when Raph decided to jump in front of her and glare down. The girl slowly stood up whilst staring at Raph in pure and utter shock. "Give me the camera."

Again, another shiver. Why does his voice have to me that goddamn sexy low gruff? I went wide eyed and blushed at my own brain thinking that. I've got it bad. Suddenly Leo jumped off somewhere high above us and landed on the ledge right behind the girl.

"Enough! Back off Raph!" Raph threw his hands up in surrender and walked over next to me. Leo walked over to the girl slowly. "Sorry about that, my colleague here forgot to say please. So would you please give me the camera?" That's when Mikey had to step in and scare the girl more than she already was. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't worry, don't freak out. it's just a mask." he pulled off his mask. "Right?"

...Then the girl fainted.

I cleared my throat and sighed. "Well, that could've gone better." Donnie nodded and walked over to the girl. "Yeah, that went well." I chuckled at his sarcasm and helped him move the girl to some blankets that just so happened to be here on the roof. Once that was done I walked over to a pipe and leaned on it and watched Donnie and Leo help the girl wake up. Well, Donnie was deleting the picture right now.

I felt someone stand next to me and I looked to see Raph. I jumped a bit at how close we were. Turning back to the scene in front of me, I cursed my body for betraying me by blushing as red as Raph's mask. A large green hand rested on my shoulder and I felt Raph lean down to my ear and whisper, "Rosa, what's wrong? You've been acting more distant and strange than usual." I gulped nervously and shivered as his low voice and hot breath tickled my neck.

"I-I'm fine Raph. I-It's nothing." He just chuckled and whispered again, "You know you're a terrible liar Rosa. Now tell me, what's wrong? What were you gonna tell me earlier before I walked away?" My legs were literally shaking. I gripped my shirt to keep me from losing control and kissing Raph right here and now.

"I-I...ihaveacrushonyouraphael..." I mumbled so he wouldn't hear. "What?" I was about to repeat when I heard Donnie say, "Guys, she's waking up." I quickly walked over to Donnie and leaned over to see her turning her head slightly. "Ma'am, can you hear me? Do you know what city you're in? Do you know where you are?" The girl fluttered her eyes open and slowly stood up. "What are you?"

Leo looked at us hesitantly before saying, "Well miss, uh, we're ninjas." "We're mutants." "Well, technically we're turtles." "Oh and we're teenagers, but we can still have adult conversations." I chuckled and looked Mikey. "Yeah, but those conversations tend to go horribly wrong and inappropriate." Mikey just shrugged and turned back to the situation at hand.

"So, you're Ninja...mutant...turtle...teenagers?" I snorted and covered up my stifled laugh with a cough. Donnie scoffed. "Well, when you put it like that it sounds ridiculous." The girl then turned to me and looked shocked. "You...You were at the station. How did you get up here?" "They saved me." I nodded towards the turtles. I stuck out my hand. "I'm Rosa. You are?"

The girl slowly took my hand and shook it. "April. April O'Neil." I nodded at April and smiled. "You're not the least bit shocked by them." I shook my head. "Nope, why would I?" April was about to reply when Raph grabbed me and pulled me to the side. "What are you doing?" I stared at him, trying to be annoyed at him, but it was so hard. "I'm just trying to make friendly conversation. We almost died together. That bonds us even if we knew each other or not." He sighed and shook his head before holding up a phone.

"Looking for this?" April looked panicked. "No, no, no, no, no don't break it. Please." Leo then snatched the phone and glared at Raph. "What did I tell you? We don't break things, we fix them. Donnie already wiped the phone genius, problem solved."

"Who put you in charge?"

"Oh, you know who did."

Mikey stepped in again. "Uh oh, tension. It's been like 30 minutes since you two had this argument." That's when Leo gave April her phone back, but not before saying, "Do not say a word of this to anyone. If you do, we will find you. April O'Neil." Then Raph picked me up and held me bridal style, which made me blush crimson and carried me to him, Leo, Donnie, and Mikey jumped on buildings until they got in the sewers. They were about to get into the entryway to the path to the lair when all of them got stuck in it. I, however, fell down on the end where you enter, so Mikey's face was facing me which the others were facing the other way.

I giggled and laughed harder when I heard Mikey fart and all of them, but Mikey of course complained. "Sure glad I'm on this side," I said with a laugh. Leo laughed sarcastically and said, "Ha, ha, ha. Hilarious. But since you're over there you can help get us unstuck." I went wide eyed "I can't do that! You three are too heavy for me to push." Donnie sighed. "She's right Leo." I thought for a moment before I saw something a smirked. "But I know something that can get you out." I walked over to a tool box that I keep down here and pulled out a crowbar.

Mikey got nervous. "Rosa, why are you getting out a crowbar and what are you gonna use it for?" I didn't answer and walked over to Mikey. I heard Raph say, "Rosa, what's with the crowbar?" "Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough."

I put the hooked part on Mikey's shell and said, "Mikey, don't move." "Wait, what are you-OW!!" I pressed the crowbar against his shell and got him a little loose. "Don't move Mikey! If you move, it'll get you stuck again!" I pressed the crowbar against the wall and Mikey's shell again. I repeated this process until Mikey was loose enough for me to pull out.

Mikey landed on the ground with a groan and pointed at me while standing up. "Remind me not to tick you off now." I giggled and nodded before I used my foot to push Raph unstuck. He got out, then Donnie, then Leo and they all looked at me with a shocked look.

"What? Never seen a girl use a crowbar to get a turtle unstuck before?" I put the crowbar with my tools and walked passed them with a smirk.
