Honestly, I think everyone needs a best friend. The thing is only a few of us are lucky enough to find a honest true best friend. I don't think I have a definite best friend yet. I had a elementary school best friend, a middle school best friend, and now I have my high school best friends. here's a few tips on getting and keeping a best friend...
1)find someone you have things in common with.
2)Make sure the person don't have traits you hate.
3) trust.
4) be open to that person.
5) defend them.
My best friends always defend me. They always tell me jokes when I'm sad. If I'm sick, they'll cancel any plans even if they really wanted to go. Gosh, I love those girls.
Just show your friends you trust them. show them that no matter how bad the situation, you'll always be there.
They say you don't find your true best friend until high school or college. I don't know if I agree, I think you could find your best friend any age or time.
