"Wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!" Abi shouts as she jumps on my bed. Sure, it's seven and I've only been sleeping an hour, but I sit up anyway. "What?" I ask groggily. "It's your birthday! Don't you remember?" I scramble out of bed, throw on some clothes, and rush out to the living area.

In the little living area there is a Dairy Queen cake (It may not be homemade, but last year I spent my birthday saying goodbye to my friends whilst being in serious pain, so whatever.) on the table, my friends piled on the couch, and a small pile of presents on the coffee table.

"Happy birthday, Violet!" Jessica, Rayna, Brooklyn, and Abi cheer in unison. Jessica cuts the cake and passes bowls around while Rayna thrusts a present into my arms. "Open it!" Screams Brooklyn. Once I tear off the wrapping I saw a sewing machine. My jaw drops. Sewing machines are expensive. "You didn't." I whisper under my breath in disbelief. "We did." Brooklyn replies. I envelope her into a hug, and she hugs back. "Thanks!" "You're welcome."

The presents from Rayna, and Jessica were just as amazing. They gave me material to make costumes, and a new knapsack from Forever 21. I thanked them, and also gave them a hug. Suddenly, Abi blindfolds me. "Abi, it's too early to play Marco Polo. I'm not even done my cake." I tell her. She pays my words no heed. They lead me into the bedroom, and pull off the blindfold.

What I see is amazing. It's my costume, for when I was the servant, Ron. The jacket/blazer thing, the shirt, the tie, and the pants. And a blond wig to top it off. "How did you make this?" I know very well that none of my friends has talent in sewing. Drawing, maybe, but not sewing. "Jessica sent the material to her mom. 'Cause, you know, she makes all of her dance outfits. She got the sketch, and sewed the costume."

My gratification needs no words to be heard. My friends can tell how thankful I am for the gifts. We spend the rest of the day eating cake and talking about memories.
