Tears

Day 1 at Camp Half-Blood (Flashback)

I walk through the barrier, my cat, Poseidon following close behind me. I shoulder my backpack, I know I'll find Sarah here. I have too. After traveling the long path I find the campfire, people staring at the fire sadly, one boy looks up and me. I held out my hand. "Hi I'm Melissa Flamm. My Sister is Sarah, have you seen her?" The boy took my hand and shook it, "Hi, I'm Aaron, Aaron Caldwell. And yes, I've seen your sister, I watched her die yesterday, stabbed in the gut, she died rather quickly and I'm assuming rather painfully.." He sighed, "I'm sorry, we burned her body last night." I could already feel tears fill my eyes. "No..." Aaron unsheathed a sword and a dagger and holds Them out to me, "Here, these were hers, she would want you to have them." I took them and hooked the dagger to my belt and the sword to my backpack shakily. 

"Do you want me to introduce you to her friends?" I nod wipe the tears out of my eyes. He brought me over to two boys both dressed in black and silently sitting next to each other, "Melissa, this is John-" he pointed to one boy, his eyes were gray and his hair was a light brown color. "And this is Sebastian." Aaron pointed to the other boy. Sebastian had sparkling blue eyes and black hair. They both looked up hope filling their eyes, "Sarah?" John mutters, I shake my head sadly, "I'm her twin sister, Melissa." He looks down again, Sebastian says nothing. "Anyways, Seb here is a son of Apollo, and John is the son of Athena." I nod, "Thanks Aaron." He nods, I sit next to John and hug him, "I know it's hard. But, we just gotta build a bridge over that river and cross it." I whisper to him, he nods. "A-are you also a child of Poseidon?" He asks quietly, I stare at the fire, "I guess," Seb stills says nothing, John gets up and offers his hand to me; "I'll show you your cabin then." I smile, "Thanks." I take his hand and we walk to the Poseidon cabin-

After the five minute walk we finally reach the Poseidon cabin. John knocks on the door and boy opens it, I can see a few girls that look like him behind him, "Hey Luke," John says, "Meet your new half-sister." He smiles at me, "Hey, I'm Luke Summers, what's your name,?" I look down at the ground shyly, "I'm Melissa, Melissa Flamm." He chuckles, "Can I call you Mel?" I nod yes and I look at John, "Go on." John smiles, I walk in and wave shyly at my new half siblings on the couch. They all mutter things like "Hi." And "Hello." And "Welcome to Hell." Luke takes me upstairs and shows me around the cabin, he takes me to my bunk, "You're okay with sleeping on Sarah's bunk right?" I nod a yes and he grins, "Get some rest Mel. You'll feel better." I lay down on the bed, putting my backpack beneath me. I close my eyes pulling out memories of Andy and Sarah, and my Mom. And I slowly and quietly cry myself to sleep. 

I miss Andy.
