I didn't get in as much trouble as I thought I would for leaving the other day.

Mrs. Winston just gave me two detentions, which I had already served in the past two days.

Today was Thursday and I was eating breakfast with my mom before I went to school and she went to work.

"Hey Kellin?", she asked, setting down her fork.

"Yeah?", I replied with a mouthful of eggs. She gave a grossed out face but continued talking.

"Afterschool I need you to get a sleeping bag and other things for the camping trip this weekend", she said.

  I immediately groaned out loud.

  "Kellin", she scolded.

"Mom, I don't want to go", I whined. She rolled her eyes at me and stole a piece of bacon off my plate.

  "Hey!", I protested.

"I made this. And you're going. The Fuentes are such nice people, you just need to spend more time with them", she said.

"That's the last thing I need", I muttered.

I didn't hate all of the Fuentes. Just Vic.

"I'm not gonna change my mind. Now hurry, I'll drop you off at school", she said, standing up and grabbing her things.

I swallowed my food and slung my backpack over my shoulder.

She drove me to school and handed me some cash to go get the supplies for the camping trip afterschool.

"Love you", she said, driving away.

"You too", I said, and walked up the steps, looking around for my friends.

I spotted Justin and Tay talking by his locker and went over to them.

"Hey Kell", Tay greeted, giving me a hug. I side hugged Justin after her.

  "Hey guys", I said.

"Oh! Kellin! Mike is looking for you", Justin said. I gave a confused look.

  "Umm?", I asked.

"He said something about the camping trip?", Justin said, kinda questioningly.

"Oh yeah", I muttered. Hopefully it was canceled or something.

"Speak of the devil...", Tay mumbled, looking behind me. I turned and saw Mike walking towards me.

  "There you are", he said.

"Yeah. What did you want?", I asked. I wasn't being rude to him because he was at least tolerable.

"My Dad told me that you should just come to our house straight afterschool today. We're leaving early tomorrow", he said.

"There's school tomorrow", I pointed out. He grinned.

"The perks of a camping trip with the Fuentes", Mike said.

"Whatever. I'll text my mom", I said. He nodded and said something along the lines of 'see you later' and left.

I texted my Mom just as the bell rung.

Now to enjoy the day before I'm sent to hell.

*-*-*-*-*-*

I groaned as the last bell rang. I texted my mom and she told me to just go home with the Fuentes so we could leave tomorrow.
