Ok, I feel dumb. I've always thought (and apparently everyone I know) that Dairy Queen was only in Texas because that's what it said in the commercial.
Boy was I wrong...
It wasn't even found in Texas. It was founded on June 22, 1984 in Joliet Illinois.
The funny thing about this is that my whole English class (including myself) got upset when we all read a book and in it was a Dairy Queen outside of Texas. We were confused because the book did not take place in Texas. Little did we know.
Oh well, there's a fun fact for you if you didn't know this about Dairy Queen.
