Chapter 17: Mended

Luhan
How dare they?!? I storm over to The guy who pushed Kai and Sehun is right behind me.
" Hey that was really uncalled for!" The guy just looks at me and smirks. He walks up to me sizing me up.
" And what? You really think I'm going to take crap from a tiny Chinese trainee like you?" Breath Luhan. I had gotten remarks like this all the time since I became a trainee for sm. It was worse for others but since I was good with people I didn't get it as often.
" Yah what the hell man!" Before I can stop him Sehun shoves the guy down. He gets up angrily and makes his way towards Sehun. At the speed of light he swings his fist and it connects with Sehuns jaw. Okay that's it!" I kick him where it hurts and punch him continuously with no end in sight. He. Can say or do whatever he wants to me but Sehun is where I draw the line. I feel strong arms grip me and pull me back.
" Hey that's enough." I yank my arm from Xiumin. The adrenaline leaves my body and I leave with Sehun as Suho and Chen try to calm the other guy down.

Sehun

" And what? You really think I'm going to take crap from a tiny Chinese trainee like you?" I was so shocked and angry when I heard these words. Anger filled me and I shoved the guy. I turned to face Luhan, my face filled with concern but I felt a sharp pain on my jaw. I saw movements after that and before I knew it Luhan was pulling me away from the scene.
" Yah let go of me!" When we are in the hallway Luhan finally lets go.
" How could he say that to you! I'm pretty sure he should get kicked out, Luhan we should tell someone!" Luhan shakes his head and sighs.
" Just drop it Sehun."
"But-"
"I said just let it go!" Luhan turns away from me. What's wrong with him. Not knowing what to do, not knowing how to help I try to change the subject. I go up and hug him from the back.
" Luhan, I want bubble tea." I snuggle my face into the crook of his neck and take in his scent. He smells like sunshine. The tension from Luhans shoulders disappear.
" Okay, but first we have to fix you up. I let Luhan lead me into his room where he puts ointment on my jaw as well as soothing gel.
" Luhan those punches you threw were pretty awesome." He laughs and all matters forgotten we talk and joke with each other, The time passing by fast as we enjoy each other's company.

That day Sehun and Luhan weren't the only ones whose heart and limbs were mended slowly but surely...

Kai

I don't talk or say anything as I am led by D.O into our dorm. I feel so embarrassed. All I focus on is D.O's warm hand and I grab on tighter.

D.O
When I saw Kai on the floor I couldn't help myself. My feet moved before my mind did. I outstretched my hand and he took it blindly. The walk back to our dorm was silent. Every time I looked towards Kai he turned away. Nevertheless I held on tightly, and he did too. When we finally got to our dorm we went inside. Kai stood awkwardly by the door. I just realized that since being his roommate we had never had a proper conversation together.
" Take off your shirt." Kai finally looks up blushing.
" What?!?" I roll my eyes and cross my arms.
" I will wash it for you." Realization finally dawns on his face.
" Oh...okay." He turns away from me and strips off his shirt. I feel mad when I see his back. Beneath the delicate and artistically toned muscles of his upper back is a big bruise.
" Kai your back! Doesn't it hurt?" Wondering what I was talking about he tried to twist around but winced in pain.
" It's okay it doesn't hurt that much... Hyung what are you doing?" I quickly rush over to him and apply ointment to his back. At my first touch Kai winces but as the ointment works it's magic his shoulders relax. He must have been in a lot of pain. Once im done applying it Kai gets up to go to bed. On the way he accidentally hits his scraped elbow hard on the wall.
" Ouch!" Turning back he knocks my beautiful potted plant off the table. He looks at me with scared, no terrified eyes.
" D.O I'm so sorry I will get you a new one! I'll get you ten new ones." I am so confused. Why is he scared of me? As I walk toward him he hides his face. Kneeling down I gently remove his hands from his face. Tilting his chin up I ask,
" Are you okay?" He silently nods, blinking fast. I help him up and reapply ointment to his elbow.
" Kai, you don't need to be scared of me, I don't bite promise!" I hold up my pinky and he laughs, surprised that I made a joke. Slowly he smiles.
" Thanks D.O hyung."
