Chapter 6: Bubble Tea

I spent the whole day waiting restlessly for practice to be over. I couldn't wait to hang out with Sehun.
" what's up with you today Luhan, your going to pull a muscle in your face if you keep smiling that hard." I don't say anything but my roommate keeps asking me about what's making me so happy. As if remembering something my roommate asks me,
" By the way that guy who told me you were in the infirmary, are you guys close?" I smiled when he mentioned Sehun and he nodded knowingly.
" So that's who your hanging out with." Wanting to end the conversation I playfully punch him in the arm.
" Sehun's meeting me here at 4 so I can't play football today. He gasped in mock surprise and left to the other side of the room laughing. Time went by really slow. Yixing, a trainee with dimples the size of a crater was in the corner sleeping.
"We are planning to make the final cut in 3 weeks time so be prepared with something to perform by then. That's all. You have all worked hard and you may go now." Looking at the reflection on my phone I quickly fix my hair and make my way out of the door. I quickly rush out the door and am disappointed when I don't see Sehun anywhere. I'm scanning the crowd looking for where he could be. I jump as I feel someone poke the side of my waist.
" Yah!" I turn around and knock heads with none other than Sehun. He steadies me.
"Lets go already." We walk down the trainee building steps and make our way out to the main city. In the main city since its night there are lights everywhere and couples walking down the street. Coffee shops are filled to the brim with people. Me and Sehun walk down the streets looking through the windows of various stores. He talks a lot. About his school. About his brother and other things. Normally walking these streets make me sad as they contrast so much from the Beijing nightlife but here with Sehun I don't feel as much like an outsider. I glance at him and he really looks so different. Before he was so reserved but I see him transform into a cute dongsaeng  right before my eyes. I feel my stomach growl and nudge Sehun.
" I'm hungry lets get something to eat." Since as trainees you both have pretty low budgets you just head to the convenience store to get kimbap
squares. At the counter I grab a bubble tea.
" Sehun do you want one?" Sehun looks skeptical at the one in my hand but grabs the choco flavored one. We sit on a bench and unwrap the squares. Sehun finishes his really fast. He tosses the can still not drinking it.
" Have you never drank bubble tea before?" He reluctantly shakes his head. I am really surprised since he was born and raised in Korea. I take the can from him and put in the straw.
"Here, try it." Where I hold the can he holds it as well so that his hands are covering mine. He takes a sip and his face changes to one of love. He takes the can from me and drains it. I laugh and throw away the trash. It's 11 by the time we reach the dorms. I had so much fun that I didn't want the night to end. We stand at the door facing each other. Sehuns pale skin looks like it's shimmering in the moonlight. He knocks me on the head.
" Luhan this whole time what have you been thinking about." I laugh to cover my being caught off guard.
" Biane, next time it will be me leading the conversation. I was having too much fun listening to you." Sehun looks happy as a puppy.
" Next time?" I ruffle his hair once again.
" Yup and I will buy you as much bubble tea as you wa- " before I even finish he yells happily and almost skips to his dorm. I walk away to my dorm, looking forward to seeing the bubble tea loving, and socially awkward Sehun once again.
