Chapter 13.

"Travis,will you please stop stealing my food!" I laughed. 

We were sat sunbathing outside with Zane and Jet,forced upon by Travis of course.I was under constant supervision and it was beginning to bug me.I mean don't get me wrong,I liked Zane,he was a funny guy,and someone I could totally get along with,and Travis was my best friend and we spend almost every minute together,but the guy sat next to him,yeah,you can see why it was bugging me.

Okay no I didn't hate Jet,He just drives me crazy.I hated him,but wanted him at the same time.It just didn't make sense.

"No can do babe" Travis grinned stealing another crisp(chip) off me and popping it into his mouth.

I rolled my eyes,"you are such a jerk".

Travis pulled me into a tight hug,making me squeal,trying to get away."That's why you love me" he chuckled ruffling my hair.

Zane was laughing at us,while Jet was looking bored,jelousy I think.How much I wished it was him instead of Travis hugging me right now.

I managed to break free from Travis,pushing him away at the same time,"yeah you keep telling yourself that" I patted his cheek,smiling in amusement.

"Don't worry babe,I will" he winked.I was about to shove him again when someone interrupted by tapping my shoulder.

I looked around finding Zara looking at me,regret showing all over her face,as well as sympathy."Thalia,may I speak with you a moment please" she asked pointing over to an empty table near by."Er... sure" I said getting up from my seat.

I followed her over taking the seat across from her,waiting patiently for her to start.

She took a deep breath,"Thalia,there's something I have to tell you that your not going to like" She said sympathetically.

I nodded,waiting for her to carry on.

"I really wish I didn't have to tell you this,but I have no choice" she sighed,reaching over to squeeze my hand.

"Thalia,we just got news from the police,your mother... she was attacked" she carried on.

I gasped,"what?,is she okay?,who did it?..." I began mumbling hysterically,this can't be happening!,who would do such a thing!.

"Well the police didn't say who.But word is going around that it was your fathers clan with a few other helpers,Rogues I think there called".

Oh no! no no,they really were coming for me,"I have to see her... I have to see my mom" I said trying to stand up,Zara pulled me back down by the hand she was holding.

"Thalia..." she whispered,sadness all over her face.That's when recognition crossed my face,"no... don't say it!" I shuddered becoming hysterical,tears rolling down my face.

"I'm sorry Thalia... your mother didn't make it,she was found dead this morning" she said squeezing my hand.

No,this can't be happening!,she can't be dead."No!" I shouted pulling my hand away,making thunder roar above me,it started to rain.

I stood up taking a step away from the table,"she isn't dead!,she isn't!" I yelled through tears,even though I knew deep down she was,Zara stood up taking a step towards me,"tell me she isn't" I pleaded,the wind was picking up swirling around me.

"I'm sorry" she whispered,taking another step towards me.

I stepped back,"no!,they were supposed to get me,not her... not her" I cried,I turned around and ran,hearing a chorus of my name being called by three different people.I ignored them and carried on running,until I reached the sea cliff.

Jet's P.O.V

I don't know why,but I ran after her.She was going to do something stupid I knew it,I could feel it.

I followed her until she reached the sea cliff,she was staring out at the sea,not saying a thing,tears were rolling down her cheeks uncontrollably,she looked like a broken Angel, ironically.

She stayed silent as I stepped forward,either not noticing me,or not caring.she did nothing for a while,just stared... until she stepped forward,"I'm coming mom,dad" she whispered taking another step.I tried to grab her arm,but it was no use,she fell straight off the edge of the cliff.

"No!" I yelled jumping off straight after her.This couldn't be happening,she couldn't die on me.

I managed to pull my wings out and push myself further until I was before her,I caught her effortlessly,flying us both back up to safety.

I sat down with her wrapped in my arms,she was clinging to me for dear life,she looked up at me with sad eyes "Jet,she's gone... she's gone... she's gone" she cried over and over.

I held her against my chest,stroking her hair,"shh,everything will be okay" I whispered.

It dawned on me.I could have lost her forever,my stomach dropped,how could I live without her.My heart started beating faster in my chest.The pain that would cause would be unbearable.

I looked down,Thalia had fallen asleep,she was still crying though,while mumbling incoherent words.I sighed as I looked at her.Yep.My father was right,I had fallen for her.

I carried her back to her dorm room,with a little help from Travis as I had no idea which room was hers,I put her down on her bed,"you know were I am if you need me" I whispered in her ear,knowing that she could hear me."Thanks" she whispered Just before I shut the door.

Yes I know it was short and crap,but this was an important chapter in the story so yeahhh I didn't really know how to write it,and I have major writers block right now :( anywaysss comment,vote??,come on readers! show some support pleaseeeeeeeee. :D
