Two Weeks

Two weeks seemed like ages. Ages! But finally, when we were taken into the room, it was horrible! It reeked of the odur of rotten eggs and fish and smelly socks all put together. Yeurgh! Worse than the cages! But this was a chance to escape. The room was high up and there was a window we could go out through. The guards didn't know we could fly.

'It stinks! Ugh!' I said, pinching my nose.

'We'll be allowed to go out of this room, but they'll make us work. There're two ways out. One is flying. The other, we need to work. It's an elevator where you can go up to Start Ville in. But you're not let to go in the elevator. You have to buy things from this 'black market'. But you need to get the money, too. There's one way of getting the money - stealing it from the guards.'

'Flying might work for me or Kelli, but not for you. We'll have to go for the other one.'

'But you could fly up with Kelli. We could go up ourselves. Why?'

'We're friends. Remember that promise we made? To always... Umm... help each other. That was it.' Clementine smiled and hugged me. I blushed and gently pushed her away. I peered through the small hole in the door. There were many other rooms. Someone came walking down the corridor. It wasn't exactly a corridor, but what other words are there for it? She came closer. Something about her looked familiar. But I didn't know what.
