I was sitting on the floor of the room with a serious look on my face, planning everything in my head. Fortunately, Mum's room was next to ours and there was a minute crack in the wall where we could peep through and talk to each other.

I had seen the guard's room. It was a bit smelly but it was definitely more luxurious than our room and that fatso gets double our food ration for all five of us which I think is extremely unfair as he just guards and lies in bed most of the time. But anyway, back to the subject - I caught sight of a large dustbin where Mum could hide behind. Then she could kind of solidify the guard. I don't know the process of freezing so I just assume 'solidify' would work. After the guard is bewitched (or whatever, I know my vocabulary is down in the dumps), Tina and I can sneak into the room (we don't have to sneak in as the guard isn't going to see us but we will anyway) and then we'll rummage through the colossal wallet for money. We need to take enough to buy things from the black market but we can't take too much otherwise he'd notice. I told Tina and 'the team' everything and we got to work.

'Mum, Tina! Let's go!' I whispered. We gently pushed the door and it slowly graduated open. Surprisingly, it didn't creak once. We crawled along the 'corridor' and tip-toed down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, I peered around the corner. Coast was clear! We inched our way to the room, glued to the wall so as not to be seen. We crept behind the dustbin and Mum poked her hand out and emitted an icy blast. The guard was paralyzed. With Tina trailing behind, I leapt into the room and swiped the wallet. I pulled out notes and stuffed it at the back of a drawer.

'What's that for?' Tina asked, perplexed.

'If he's lost his wallet and can't find it for a while, he'll forget how much is inside and when he finds it, he won't notice that anythings been stolen! And even if he does, we'll be out of this place by then!'
