Stiles' pov:

We stood outside in the warm May air, waiting for graduation to begin. Today was a tough day for Lydia. She always imagined graduating with Allison by her side. Scott, Lydia and I stood with all of our single parents. Melissa, my dad and Ms. Martin. Scott's dad couldn't make it which Scott really didn't mind. He was never a huge fan of his father anyway. As graduation was about to begin, we all hugged our parents and made our way to our seats. After what felt like hours of sitting through other people reviving their diplomas, it was Lydia's turn. "Lydia Martin!" The principal announced.

People cheered and I yelled "that's my girl!" with a huge smile across my face.

After a couple more students, "Scott McCall".

"Yeah, buddy!" I yelled.

And then, it was my turn. "Stiles Stilinski!"

I ran onto the stage and tripped up the steps. Typical. The crowd laughed a little and I could see Lydia smiling and shaking her head at me as she clapped. I shook the principal's hand and grabbed my diploma, holding it to my chest. Once all of the graduating students were standing on stage, she said "Let's give Beacon Hills High graduating class of 2016 one last round of applause!" The crowd roared and I kissed Lydia's cheek.

"We made it." I whispered in her ear.

And once again, in an instant, life was different. We were no longer high school students, but young adults trying to figure out our futures.
